Imperfect Women wants you to show off your pets and have the opportunity to win a $20 gift card to Target! Its easy to enter and we will all have fun getting to see and know a little bit more about each others pets.
Here is how it works:
- Email a picture of your pet or pets to pam@imperfectwomen.com along with the name of the pet.
- In the comment section below tell us which pet is yours and tell us as little or as much as you want us to know about your pet.
- One entry per person (however you can send in one picture for each pet you own.)
- Contest will close on Tuesday, March 15th at 6 pm.
- The winner will be selected randomly.
I will upload the pictures that you send into the blog post after I receive them. If you don’t have a pet but have a family member or friend that has a pet you are fond of, you can enter that pet.
It is as simple as that.
The IW mods will in all likelihood want to share pictures of our pets but of course we will not be eligible to win.

I sent Pam a picture of our mini dachshund, Molly, she will be 1 yr old in May. Molly is my 7 yr olds dog, she was surprise on her last birthday from my husband (I was surprised too). Never thought I wanted a dog but now I can’t imagine life without her, we are already looking for another, Molly needs a sister to play with.
Molly is extremely playful, she loves to play fetch, sometimes she forgets to bring the ball back but she is learning. She will bark at all other dogs and cats as long as someone is holding her or she has the glass door between her and the other animals. She is the boss at our house, she controls what time we go to bed and what time we get up. She is not quite 7 pounds yet but when she needs something she is as loud as a 100 pound dog.
stxmom,
Thanks for entering. She is adorable. I believe if anyone wants to see the picture enlarged you can just click on it.
I sent photos of my cat and dog to y’all…
My dogs name is Breyer.. We like to call him Breyer Bears… He responds to just about anything though.. And loves everyone except the big white dog down the street.. Then he turns into super protector pup.. We adopted him from the SPCA almost 3 years ago.. He is a yorkie mutt mix 🙂 looks like a yorkie.. BUT weights 12 lbs.. so a yorkie on steroids lol
And I sent a photo of our cat.. His name is hotpocket… He thinks he is directly related to the king of the jungle I am sure.. Has the biggest attitude.. I would say we adopted him. But it is more appropriately said that he adopted us.. We found him on our back porch one day.. He kept venturing into our mud room and settling into the bag of dog food we had… He has a huge fondness for dog kibble :-/
Come to find out his previous owners had moved out and left their pets behind in the house.. It was a foreclosure apparently.. It was the middle of August and there were 2 cats and a dog locked inside the house with no power.. Someone had to pry the window open to get them out.. And our little hotpocket ran.. They had been able to catch the other cat and the dog..
We have been told he has a bit of Maine Coon in him.. He chirps or warbles.. I dont know how to describe it.. But it isn’t a “normal” cat sound lol…
But he only weighs about 7-8 lbs which is highly not typical of a maine coon…
Very cute! I really like the picture of Breyer and Hot Pocket looking out the window. My pup has started popping up in the window to see who is pulling up the driveway. What a great thing to come home to!
Molly is beautiful! Is she big enough to mouth that tennis ball? She looks so tiny!
“Never thought I wanted a dog but now I can’t imagine life without her…”- stxmom
Same here! I didn’t want to lose another dog so I was sure I was done with falling in love again, but it’s too late! My daughter talked Santa into bringing a pup (a little early) and I can’t remember our lives before we were all loved and adored this much. Our pup is like a baby.
I’ll have to send Pam a photo of mine, Buster (cat) and Winnie (dog.) I know they can’t win, but shhhh! don’t tell them. They think there will be extra treats if they win!
PattyPie- did I miss Jake? I’m sorry! He’s really, really cute, too. 😉
Jake has been our pet for several years now. He was a rescue as we found him after someone threw him at a child who lives down the street. He is a sweet guy. We have been told he has a bit of granite and quarts in him but it doesn’t matter to us. We like him just the way he is. We can travel and go on vacation and he makes out just fine on his own. We do have to move him around a bit as we don’t like it when moss grows on him.
He may not to be the rock of gibraltar, but he is as precious as a moon stone to us!
But you know me. I’m just sayin’ 😉
Ty Ann
I do think it is adorable when animals want to watch outside.. It is so cute because they always look like they don’t know what to think of that big bad world outside that window.. And god forbid someone walk by their window! Breyer will be sure to let whoever it is know for certain this is HIS world and you are stepping into it!! lol
Pets get so into your hearts… They are definitely family members… And tell me you can’t *talk* to your pet and day of the week.. without judgement.. They are always so expressive… and always there for you without question..
Stxmom- Molly is super cute!! Mini Doxys are sooo sweet and so funny to watch… One of my best friends wants one.. So he can call him oscar.. I told him that is way too expected and to stick with his cats lol
Pattypie – I bet those vet bills are super duper cheap!!!
Aiyee – love seeing everyone’s adorable pets. I am such an animal lover – if I had endless space, time and money, I don’t know where I’d stop! Such cute puppies and kitties! (And of course, Jake – glad to hear you don’t take him for granite, Pattypie.)
Jake rocks!
Wicky and Willy are cuties! Lots of little ones in the contest!
Somehow, thats what I thought Pattypie’s pet would look like!
Winnie! I’m plotting to kidnap Winnie someday.
Wicky and Willy say “thanks” Ann! I’m partial, because I love them so. They are litter mates, though you would never know it to look at them now. I *really* like Jake’s coloring, gorgeous.
I am laughing so hard right now and it was kind of a low mood day but that’s all gone now after seeing pattypie’s lovely pet. I’m sure pattypie you enjoy every moment with him. Sure does cut down on those vet bills.
Wicky and Willy do not look like litter mates at all. I think it’s so great they have eachother.
My Winnie still gets together with one of her brothers- they look very much alike. He melts my heart when he looks at me with a face 90% the same as hers- just a bit darker. She loves to visit him for the day, but he poops her out!
Ann, What breed is Winnie? She truly is beautiful and just from this picture she looks like she has spunk (I love a dog with spunk!). We don’t get to see the other brothers or sisters (they spread out as far as Tenn, WV, and Michigan) but we do get to see their mom (she looks exactly like Willy). They are unimpressed by these visits and prefer to stick to each other.
Erin Kate it looks to me that Ann’s adorable Winnie is a Border Collie. She is a beauty and yes the breed is very spunky but you’ll have a lifetime of fun with them. I have my own for which I hope to soon upload to this site. Border Collies are the smartest breed on the planet and if you are the lucky owner of one be prepared as there will be many a occasion where their intelligence might almost scare you. Keep lots of balls and toys around because all they want to do is play, love, play, love. Such a wonderful dog for anyone.
Ann she is quite a beauty and has some great markings on her. I’m sure she is a joy for you family. Pets of any kind are great because they give so much love and only ask for love in return. Best part? No talking back. LOL
I love all of these pictures. The one with the two pals looking out the door is precious. Cubby is my dog. Her full name is Cubby Bear. She has had a bit of a rough go because she has always been a member of a “pack” in our house and our two older dogs recently passed away. Very depressed, wasn’t eating. She still sits by the door waiting for her big sister Keno to come home.
.
Anyway, we give her lots of love, walks and take her to the dog park and she is coming out of it somewhat.
Pam I’m so sorry for your loss. Yes pets grieve and people would be surprised to find out that it’s not uncommon for pets who have lost their “buddy” as in dog friend or a member of the family they were close to. Pam you are doing the right thing by taking her for walks and showering her with extra love. That will help her and your family also in getting through the mourning period.
Thanks Joy. Yes it is pretty hard on us “owners” but we sometimes forget that it is much harder on their buddies that are left behind and don’t understand where they went to.
I was thinking Border Collie also, Joy. I used to dogsit a border collie named Ruthie and I swear she was the smartest dog, you could talk to her like a person and she understood. I considered a couple of breeds, including a border collie, when I got my dogs, but ultimately was swayed by the smaller size. That and a client had a litter and was giving me a break on the price (good thing too since Wicky turned out to be the only one in the litter that was half Jack Russell!).
Erin Kate your little Wicky is so cute. You have your hands full there with Wicky being half Jack Russell. We have friends with a couple of Jacks and my neighbor has one and they have so much energy and so much fun. You are going to have a lifetime of fun with that precious Wicky. Love the name.
Remember that you can click on the pics to see a larger picture. Such adorable pets. I love them all and it makes me want to get another one.
I love all the pictures, pets can bring so much joy into a family.
Ann, she can’t get the tennis ball in her mouth so she just uses her nose and rolls it to where ever she wants it.
Today Molly is confused and thinks she is a cat, she has killed 3 birds. Right now she is in a time out in her crate, she’s not too happy with me, I’m sure she is counting the minutes until the kids get home from school and rescue her.
Joy, she is full of energy, she is a jumper and she will play fetch all day long. She is also a digger and a burier. When we first took her to the vet he said “That is a Jack Russell, this is what you should expect (the mischief).” We were glad to get her, though, she was the only one in her litter that was a mix and she was small and a little bit sickly. I fear that if I hadn’t gotten her she probably would have gone to the pound–that thought is unbearable because she is the best dog we have ever had. She is very cuddly (on her own terms, of course!). Willy, on the other hand, is shih tzu through and through. He is “not a problem solver,” is stubborn, slow (he walks like he is moving through molasses, which I think is part of the stubbornness), and the most loving dog you would hope to meet. The breeder wanted to keep him but I begged and he gave in. They called him Chubbs because he was the biggest of the litter. They came in to my life when I was having a very bad time, I had lost my job, I had to move back in with my parents, my grandfather had died, and somehow they made it all better.
I love the pet pictures, but my pet rock will not qualify. Many pets over the years, broken heats when one would die. We have a burial ground with twig crosses for them. 🙁 Enjoy your pets, they are true companions, never complain, don’t talk back and a joy in everyone’s life. 🙂
Pattypie, you are crackin me up again.

I love seeing all the pets. Lots of animal lovers here at IW.
I would love if there was a way to keep this article and pet pictures on the front page. I am a huge animal lover and there is nothing more that will bring a smile to your face than a photo of a child or an adorable pet.
Erin Kate, Willie and Wicky are litter mates? I never would have guessed. They are both adorable and cute as a button. It looks like there was two daddies of that litter. I bet many of you didn’t know that. Yes a female dog can give birth to a litter of puppies and there is two separate breed daddys. I found out from our vet it’s more common than some think. I only found out by accident as a neighbor of our son had a large litter of puppies and it was about half and half and you could distinctly tell what puppy belonged to which daddy. Guess what? We ended up taking the pup of our son’s dog. Apparently he had jumped the fence when the neighbor dog was in heat and thus two daddies. The neighbors have a male and female but our son’s snuck in his DNA when he jumped the fence. LOL
They are both adorable Erin Kate. If you ever want to give one up or both I’ll take them. I miss having a little dog. We lost our two little ones about a year and a half ago of old age. We had five and have three left and they are large ones. I miss a lap dog even though these stinkers still keep trying to crawl up into my lap.
I love all the pets and hope to see more. I’ll try to upload mine.
I am in love w/that pic of Cubby. She has the sweetest eyes. I want to give her a doggie treat.

Erin Kate, so happy to see your cute pups. It’s amazing the good they can bring into your life. Sylvester is 14 and been w/me through thick and thin. Years ago, I was so glad to have him around when I was recovering from back surgery. I would have been bored and lonely w/o him. It’s scary to think what would have happened to Wikky. What a lucky dog that the right person found her and took her home.
stxmom, I love Molly too. I am such a dog person. Funny, that your hubs surprised you. But, after I thought, I remembered I did the same thing w/my Golden Retriever who has been gone many years. He was the best dog too, my former hubs didn’t mind and fell in love too. Glad to hear she is going to have a playmate. I’ve always had more than one dog, I think it’s better for them when they have to be left at home.
I can’t wait to hear about Toxie and Roxie.
My photo is of me holding my two new puppies, Roxxie and Toxie. In the background you can see Sera, our older dog. They are all a very happy brood of brown doggies!
Its funny I got Roxie and Toxie from work. One of my co-workers daughter’s brought it home with her. His wife went to take Toxie back to its owner but when she found out the previous owner was keeping the puppies in dirty living conditions she didn’t want to leaver her there. My co-workers family already included a dog, cats, and birds so they couldn’t keep the puppy. When they brought her into work I coudn’t say no! I from the start that Toxie was a great puppy. The week after we took her home my co-worker brought the last puppy from the litter–Roxie! Having two puppies sounded like a blast and great company for our older dog Sera. They have so much fun together!
Yes, Winnie is a border collie and she is smart and fun. Each toy, about a dozen, has it’s own name and she can fetch them by the name from her basket.
A few months ago I scolded my daughter for arguing about picking up the living room. “Just put your stuff away!” I said. Winnie jumped up, found her toy sheep laying in the middle of the floor, picked it up gingerly and trotted in to the other room to put it by her basket.
I want to teach her to do laundry.
OMG, that picture of Molly is so cute! I can just see her rolling that ball around.
Two puppies- that’s so lucky. Toxie and Roxie are just lovely. enjoy them. (They grow up fast, too, just like real kids!)
I love this thread. can’t wait to see more pets. Cats! We need more cats!
Toxie and Roxie (love those names) are pretty lucky!
Ann, Winnie is such a smart dog. Lol, they do mind better than the kids.

I forgot to say something about my pets. Not shown, is my 10yo cat. Our personalities match well, I love her to death. A lot of time she acts like the dogs. If any of the dogs I have ever had happened to get in a fight, my cat jumps into the fray while I am scolding them. Even if she comes too late to the scene, she will put them in their place. She will not tolerate fighting and it’s hysterical to see her smack them.

Sylvester is 14 and he is my fuzzy soul-mate. When he was 5 mos old, he had been running away to my house for a few months. The owner had her hands full and very nicely let me have him. I was so happy. Nibbles is my daughter’s 2yo Cocker Shih tzu. I have never seen a dog so in love w/a child. He frets when she’s taking a bath. He can’t believe I let her get on the school bus or ride her bike. He is very sweet. He’s also little simple minded, kind of a dopey dog which makes him all the more lovable.
Taani is my second Siberian Husky child. Kima our oldest daughter was quite a talker and a laid back sleeper and went everywhere with us so we decided when she went to her Heavenly home that we would try again. Wow – Taani – she was a wake up call. Very active and ambitious for us two old people.
Everyday I had a new story to tell people of the things she would do. She has always kept us laughing I will share a few with you. We took her to the vet when she was about 10 weeks old and then when done we walked and walked her hoping she would potty but no such luck as soon as we got on the interstate we could see her in the rear view mirror standing on cargo area cover peeing – Unbelievable. We walked and walked Taani but she had a huge problem pottying anywhere outside of our yard. We took her on vacation to MO and it took about 9 hours of walking her and then she went potty in the cabin as soon as she came in. Taani also begs me everynight to floss her teeth when I floss mine. I hide it from her and she still figures it out and wines (not much talking) if I don’t.
Taani’s favorite treat is Tums.
As I said she keeps us laughing.
Ann, I love the name Winnie. I wanted to adopt Taani and her brother and call her Winnie and him Chester after the rifle.
I think you hit the jsckpot with a dog that bonds to a child so quickly, Lily. Lily, jr. is quite the beauty too.
Taani is a looker, isn’t she? I just love the look of a Husky. They have such noble bearing to me- fabulous eyes. Taani sounds very smart to know when the floss is out!
Regina, So funny your girl wants you to floss her. I love that. What a sweetie.
I sent a picture of my cat Silvie-she’s a quick one so it’s kinda hard to get a close up pic of her! She is a cute cat and we have had her for almost 7 years!
Oh! Two new cat pics today. They are beautiful. I find that my slow, lazy cat is hard to photograph too. He looks away when I get the camera out.
This was emailed to me from “whodunit4″ about her cat, Pebbles.
.
This is my baby girl Pebbles, looking very queenly and regal and above
it all as she usually does. She just turned 14, we got her when she was
a feral kitten on a dairy farm in east Texas. Her mother was a purebred
Tortoiseshell Persian who loved being an unpampered outside cat, LOL,
and was the terror of the farm (she had one ear missing, one eye
damaged, and was a great big matted furball when I met her).
.
For the first 10 years we had Pebbles, she was very aloof toward us,
spent most of her time under our guest bed or on top of our
entertainment center–sweet but untouchable….but she really loved my
daughter Maya when she was a baby (Maya’s 10 now)–she would let Maya
toddle to her and body slam her and NEVER scratch, growl or bite
her–she’s the same way with my 2.5 y/o twins now as well! 🙂
.
Her big brother Moose used to be the ‘dog in a cat suit’ in our house,
and one of the best furfriends I ever had–he overshadowed Pebbles for a long time, until we lost him last August. :*( After his passing,
Pebbles started acting like a ‘real’ cat, meowing/’talking’ to us,
following us around, sitting in our laps, begging for treats–all things she had NEVER done prior to Moose’s loss…I am so grateful God sent her after the trauma I went through with Moose’s passing, she’s a very loving little girl, and has bonded with me so much more now than she did in her first decade with us. 😉
.
I named her Pebbles when we got her because we were just
then beginning fertility treatment and not being successful, and I got
upset at watching the Flintstones one day when they announced Wilma was
pregnant—I remember ranting at my husband that cartoon characters
could get pregnant and I couldn’t! So when we got Pebbles, I named her
in honor of the cartoon character–both have similar sweet dispositions.
.
😉 Sorry for the rambling! My Pebbles is my furbaby and I love her
bunches! 🙂 ” whodunit4″
CONGRATULATIONS, Regina and Taani! You won the $20 gift card to Target. Please email us your home address at info@imperfectwomen.com and we’ll send it to you. May I suggest Tums and dental floss for Taani?
Thanks to everyone who shared pictures of your beautiful pets. 🙂
What???? My Jake didn’t win?????
He is going to be one hot rock when he finds out about this! 😉
Just kiddin’
Congrats to Regina and Tanni!
Congratulations Regina & Taani.
I really enjoyed seeing and reading about everyone’s furry friends.
Patty Pie, hope he’s not too broken up. Perhaps, a mud bath would soothe him.
“Hot rock”, LOL! 🙂
Congratulations Regina & Taani! I also enjoy seeing the pictures of the furbabies (and ‘rockbaby’, LOL) and seeing their stories. 🙂
PattyPie, if Jake DOES break up, perhaps you might rename him after my girl PEBBLES? I wouldn’t mind! 😉
LOL, whodunit4.
