Valencia Orange Refresher Made Easy

By Pam@IW 65 Comments

TweetPinEmailPrintYummlyLinkedInLikeShareShares12

Do you love the Valencia Orange Refresher that you have been able to get at your local upscale coffeehouse? You know the one I am talking about. It turns out that the customers of that upscale coffee chain are “devastated” that they are removing the popular iced drink from the menu. The Valencia Orange Refresher was discontinued this past month and there is an online petition asking the company to save the beverage.

 Valencia Orange Refresher

There is no need to panic or to cry in your pillow at night over the decision to pull this popular refreshing drink from the menu. You can make your own homemade version of the Valencia Orange Refresher and it has never been easier. This copycat version only requires 3 simple ingredients.

Ingredients:

Orange Juice
Lemon Iced Tea
Sugar

Directions:

Fill a glass or mason jar with ice.
Pour orange juice to fill the glass 3/4 of the way full.
Fill the remaining 1/4 of the glass with lemon iced tea.
Add one teaspoon of sugar into the drink and mix it well with your spoon.
Optional: Add orange slices for garnish.

Valencia Orange Refresher

If you are a devoted fan of Starbuck’s Valencia Orange Refresher, you can join the campaign to bring it back via social media. There is a Facebook page, Twitter profile and a petition all working hard right now to bring it back. OR…you can follow the easy recipe above and enjoy this drink every day if you would like. It is easy to make and much cheaper too!

Although I did like that Starbucks drink I would much rather make it myself! And I could use Stevia instead of sugar–lets face it-oranges have lots of sugar already and as a diabetic–well—–Thank you so much for this recipe!

The Starbucks one really is delicious-but extremely unhealthy sugar wise. We are so much better off making our own!

This looks awesome, however the orange refresher from Starbucks are made of green coffee beans. It has lots of caffeine in it (which is why I buy it) But i’ll just get an extra hour of sleep and make this instead and I should be all good, lol!!
