If you thought Kate Gosselin’s TV career was going to come to an end when her “Dancing with the Stars” gig eventually ends, think again.
USA Today is reporting that TLC has tapped Kate to star in a new series -“Twist of Kate” which will begin airing episodes in late summer.
Kate will apparently visit one-on-one with fans who have written her detailing their own struggles.
“I look at it as a loose concept.” says Kate. “I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don’t consider myself an expert on anything.” TLC head Eileen O’Neill promises Kate will not always be comfortable in the new situations she is thrown in.
A big unknown is whether the Gosselin children will participate in the show in any way. Also, there were reports of Kate filming for a possible TLC show earlier this year. Has any footage been shot for “Turn of Kate” or is TLC starting from ground zero?
Those of us who support Kate are happy to hear this news. Other positive developments — Kate was saved from elimination on “Dancing with the Stars” Tuesday night’s elimination show and her new book, “I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith, and Family, will be released next Tuesday
All is not rosy for Kate or her children, however. On Wednesday, Jon filed a motion to request that the family law court revist the custody and child support arrangements that were put in place when their divore was finalized in December. To say public or media support is not behind Jon is an understament. This CNN video nicely sums up what many are thinking – check out the score card!
