.
I haven’t seen even ONE movie on the list this year!
I saw Moneyball, The Help and War Horse. I really enjoyed War Horse but I loved The Help so I will be pulling for that movie. I liked Moneyball too but I don’t see it as a Best Picture.
I saw Bridesmaids and The Help ~ both movies were good and entertaining but I doubt either will win best picture. If one does that will be a shocker.
And IMO Melissa McCarthy made the movie Bridesmaids~ She deserves the win.
The only one I’ve seen is Bridesmaids. I read The Help at the same time the movie was out and chose not to watch, no matter hoe good a movie is it’s never as good as the book in my opinion.
The only part of Bridesmaids I really enjoyed- was Melissa! I hope she wins but comedies don’t usually fare that well do they?
I saw the The Descendants, Midnight in Paris, The Artist and Moneyball. I liked The Descendants and The Artist the best. This year kind of feels weird – there were some good movies, but none of these Best Picture nominees scream “Oscar” to me. I will root for The Artist because of its creativity and novelty though. I never thought I’d go against either Pitt or Clooney for Best Actor, but I have to say Jean Dujardin deserves the award. So much of the story relied on his facial expressions. He did an excellent job.
Oh my, just watched the video of Sacha Baron Cohen dumping the ashes on Ryan Seacrest. So wrong — but also a little bit funny. 😉
I was rooting for The Artist (great film!) and for Jean Dujardin, so I was happy. I felt a bit bad for Viola Davis, even though I didn’t see The Help. It must suck to be the favorite and lose, especially when unlike Meryl Streep you don’t necessarily have a great chance of being nominated again.
I am not a fan of Brad Pitt AT ALL! So I was glad he didn’t win but I did want George Clooney to win. I was shocked Viola Davis didn’t win, but I LOVED Meryl.Streep’s speech!
I was really glad to see Christopher Plummer win, he had been nominated so many times and had never won before.
OMG, I forgot about Christopher Plummer. I was so happy for him! I didn’t see the movie he won for but there’s something about him – I’ve always just liked him a lot. I kind of have a bit of a crush on him. 🙂
