*Jen received a free copy of Tempted in the Tropics by Tracy March from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed are her own and were not influenced by the method in which she received the book.

After reading Tempted in the Tropics, I know 2 things. I want to go to St. Lucia and I love Tracy’s Suddenly Smitten series! The first book in the series, The Practice Proposal, was released in March of this year. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve added it to my TBR a.s.a.p. list! I love a series that doesn’t force you to have to read the previous novels in order to follow along. The majority of Tempted takes place at a posh resort in St. Lucia and Tracy did a beautiful job at making me feel like I was right there, enjoying all the perks, including falling for the handsome doctor, Lane Anderson. I really enjoyed the humor in this book. The dialogue felt natural and was upbeat. It was just spicy enough to keep my attention!

The spunky Paige Ellerbee is a refreshing heroine. She has a positive attitude and is a total go-getter. She wasn’t the kind of girl to just sit back and wait for stuff to happen. When she wanted something, she took the risk. She was also kind and selfless. Moving back to her hometown to help out with her sick Mom, and then to care for her Dad, she makes the best of her new living situation by opening up her own business. Her bakery, Sweet Bee’s, made me crave muffins. Seriously, I had to go buy one the morning after I finished reading Tempted. Paige was a great heroine and definitely deserves to find some kind of happiness.

Hottie doc, Mr. Lane Anderson, makes me want to make an appointment for a check-up! I think I might be getting sick. *cough, cough* Okay, so Lane may have made me swoon once or twice! He was polite and gentlemanly until he turned on his Dr. McDreamy persona once they got to St. Lucia. Once Dr. McD takes over, you will be putty in his hands. There is more to Lane than just being good looking and romantic, he has been through some tough times. With an ugly split from an ex hanging over his head, he’s trying to move on with his life. He’s just not sure how Paige is going to fit in with that move.

Ultimately, I think Lane and Paige are very similar people. They both have caring personalities, funny senses of humor, and there doesn’t’ seem to be a shortage of zing between them in the bedroom. From the beginning of the book, I wanted them to work out. When they get to St. Lucia, you really get a feel for who they are without having the stresses of real life driving their decisions. I didn’t want them to go home! Sadly, they have to go home and I can’t tell you whether they make it work or not.. but I will say that Tracy March knows how to make her reader sweat! I couldn’t decide, until right at the very, very end, what was going to happen!

I know you guys are going to enjoy Tempted in the Tropics!

My rating: 4 can someone please take me to St. Lucia stars!

I wanna say red velvet but I don’t really eat cupcakes often and I like to make my own but I’ve come to realize … I’m a horrible baker… my last batch tasted like raw flour 🙁 . Please help. I wanna taste real baked goods. Lol I hope I win.
