Soul Sessions by Carson Gage ~ A story of love and awakening

By Pam@IW

TweetPinEmailPrintYummlyLinkedInLikeShare

I haven’t had a great deal of time to read lately but when I do, I like reading books that offer insight into my own life experiences and are also thought provoking. Soul Sessions by Carson Gage certainly fulfills those requirements and more! If you are looking for a typical romance novel involving a man and a woman who fall in love and live happily ever after following several obstacles and usually more than a few hot and heavy sexual encounters, this isn’t it. It is so much more than that! Soul Session I ordered Soul Sessions and received it a few days later. I have to admit, it sat on my table next to my favorite chair for a week or so before I picked it up. One afternoon I did decide to dive in and read it with my favorite cup of tea by my side and I found myself doing nothing else that day. I finished the book that evening and I was disappointed there wasn’t more. Here is a little info about the book: Book Review Soul Sessons

An engaging journey of love and spiritual awakening, Soul Sessions starts in current day Chicago, where Nick Dalton is a troubled yet highly successful Investment Banker with a gorgeous girlfriend and an extravagant lifestyle. Despite all his success, Nick falls into a deep depression after a life altering event. Just as it looks as though Nick’s life might end in suicide, enter Katrina DuMont, a gifted psychologist who is expert in both traditional and new age methods of treatment for depression. Together, using past-life regression techniques, they explore several of Nick’s prior incarnations, where he unwittingly discovers a beautiful woman who repeatedly appears as his lover and soul mate. To potentially reawaken his epic love affair, Nick is compelled to search for her in this lifetime. Thus begins an astonishing story of love and intrigue, where Nick stumbles across inconceivable answers to some of life’s greatest mysteries … and once again finds the course of his life altered.

Do we have multiple lives? Nick Dalton, the main character is this book discovers through past-life regression techniques that he has lived several lives before.  Although I really am not sure about the whole idea of reincarnation, there is a part of me that has always felt that I lived at one time in the old west. That feeling has been there since I was a child and it is something that I have never been able to shake and have not really wanted to. For me, I was very open to the possibility that past lives impact our present lives and it somewhat explains why I have a feeling of unnatural attachment to the old west. When I have traveled to Wyoming, Montana and the Black Hills, I feel like I lived there many years ago…a true sense of déjà vu.

Do we have soulmates?

For that one and only moment in my life, I felt my soul intertwine with another. Two became one for a few fleeting hours. It was as though my soul had climbed out of a dark hole, only to catch a brief glimpse of freedom.

A soulmate can mean different things to different people but for many it is a relationship that is profound and has lingering emotions which no words can fully encompass. It is someone you can’t imagine being without and someone that you will always be in tune with. You just get each other. Some believe that soulmates have been present in your past lives and there might be moments in your relationship that you feel have taken place before but in a different setting.

In Soul Sessions, Nick Dalton discovers that his depression is related to past life experiences with losing his soulmate.  Through his therapy, Nick is able to discover who his soulmate is in his current life and attempts to connect with her. You will have to read the book to find out how that works out for Nick! Soul Sessions really is a pure romantic story shown through a spiritual journey. This book challenges you to open your mind to the possibilities of a life (or two or three) before this. I think it is a book that you can read more than once and most likely gain new knowledge and enlightenment each time you read it.

How about you, do you believe in multiple lives? Do you have a soulmate?   Soul Sessions by Carson Gage 12 About the Author: Carson Gage has been interested in the mysteries of life and death since the age of seven, when he survived being run over by a speeding car. This experience led him on a journey of discovery for answers to some of life’s biggest questions. Please retweet if you think others will enjoy this book!
