We have rescued four dogs over the past 20 years and one thing we have learned is that a good diet is key to having a happy and healthy dog. Finding dog food that is a good fit for your dog, one that they will eat and one that is healthy and nutritious, is so important.
Cubby Bear and Wrigley (can you tell my husband is a big Chicago Cubs fan?) are our two lovable pups. They were both familiar with Rachael Ray Nutrish dog foods prior to receiving this package but had never tried the ZERO GRAIN recipes. Recently, we took Cubby to the vet because she seems to have some type of skin allergy and our vet recommended going grain free to see if that would help. That is why we were so excited to partner with Rachael Ray Nutrish Zero Grain Dog Food and find this wonderful package on our doorstep.

Cubby is an 11 year old girl who is still full of tons of energy and loves to chase balls. Her partner in crime is 4 year old Wrigley and although he is tiny in size, he pretty much is the alpha dog.

Cubby and Wrigley love getting mail and they were not shy about checking this package out. There was a package of Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Zero Grain™ Beef with Bison and a fun squeaky toy. Even Mom and Dad received a super nice surprise…a Rachael Ray Cucina cutting board and a set of Santoku knives!
Good Nutrition
The main reason I was excited for Cubby to try the Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Zero Grain™ Beef with Bison Recipe was because there are never any grains, glutens or fillers. Since our Vet thought that grains might be contributing to her skin allergy issues, this was a big plus. In addition to this, it is is made with simple, natural ingredients like real U.S. farm-raised beef, which is always the number one ingredient, combined with wholesome vegetables. This is something that Wrigley can benefit from too! I also love that there are zero artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors and no poultry by-product meal. Simple and natural ingredients that contribute to a healthy and happy dog!
Did my dogs like Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Zero Grain™ Beef with Bison dog food? They most certainly did as is evident in the picture above where Wrigley is licking his lips and chowing down. Cubby loved it too but Cubby likes just about any kind of food. The important thing with Cubby is that we feel we have seen improvement in her coat and skin in just the past few weeks. There is less redness and irritation and she is scratching a lot less. Please also remember to transition your dog into any new food by slowly mixing the new food with their other food over the course of five to ten days until your dog is solely eating the new food. This will help avoid any digestive issues.
Exercise, Grooming and Routine Checkups
Good nutrition is one of the most important things you can do to keep your dog healthy and happy but it isn’t the only thing. Exercise and play time is an absolute must and that should be part of their regular day to day routine. Routine bathing and brushing will keep your dog’s coat healthy and allow you to really examine their skin for any issues. Make sure they have regular checks with your veterinarian and that their vaccinations are up to date. Consult with your vet to find the right products to keep your dog free of parasites.
Cubby and Wrigley exhausted after chasing their new toy and going for a walk.

Rachael’s personal proceeds go to Rachael’s Rescue, a charity created to help shelter pets in need. To date we have donated over $9MM. This money has gone toward food, medical supplies and treatments for these unfortunate animals. Unlike our competitors, we pride ourselves on bringing pet specialty quality food to the masses. We are the first premium brand that is only available in grocery/mass retailers like Target, Walmart and Amazon. In a hyper- competitive category, we are very happy to say that we are the fastest growing dry dog food brand in the grocery/mass space. Contributing to the brand’s success is the approachability, accessibility and connection to Rachael Ray, who brings on-trend humanization of pet food and represents the charitable Rachael’s Rescue component.

How do you keep your lovable pups healthy and happy?
I had no idea that Rachel Ray had a grain free line of Nutrish! Our Dalmatian has some skin issues and I certainly will be discussing with her vet if this is something that would for her! Your pups are adorable!
I have seen commercials for this and have been meaning to try it for my Milo!
i will have to try this for my dogs..
What a great cause. Looks like your dogs love the food. I will check this out.
It’s SO important for our dogs to eat healthy. I have heard great things about this brand and would definitely be interested in feeding it to my dog.
I’ve seen commercials for this – I’ll have to try it. We feed our dog and cats grain-free food because it’s healthier for them and more in line with the diets they are evolutionarily suited for. Some people think it really doesn’t matter but I’ve been told by vets that feeding pets the proper diet can have positive effects on their lifespan and health in later years.
I love Rachel Ray and think she is a genius! I can only imagine how fresh this dog food is.
She is one of my favorite’s, too! I just love her.
This sounds like a great healthy choice for the pups. It’s awesome that Rachael donates so much to her charity!
I used to feed my cat Rachel Ray but we recently switched to another brand of food. I’m happy to hear of this new Grain Free formula.
Such adorable pups! I love Rachael Ray and the fact she’s done this makes me love her even more, I would love to check this out for my dogs if it becomes available in Canada! A good dog food is SO very important!
Your dogs are so so cute! I have heard good things about Rachael Ray´s grain free pet food lately. One of my friends uses it for her cat.
Me too! I need to make sure to check out their grain-free cat food. I didn’t realize they had cat food too!
We always fed our dogs grain-free food. I would definitely have tried this for them.
I have heard such great things about this brand of dog food. I will have to share this with my Sister. She has two dogs that are her fur babies.
She puts a lot of love into all her food for humans. I’m sure her line of food for pets is just as delicious.
We’ve not tried Rachel Ray dog food but I love her cookware. I’m sure my dogs would love her food too. I’m looking into this!
I was just looking at tis brand at the Pet Smart yesterday. Thank you for such great info on the product.
We literally just got a new dog about a week ago. This seems like a great dog food for him!
I didn’t know Rachael Ray also made dog food products. I like that alot thought went into the products to keep dogs healthy and fit.
This food sounds great. I think it’s so important for all dogs to be on a grain-free food. Their bodies aren’t designed to handle that stuff.
I had no idea that Rachel Ray had a dog food line. We only feed our dogs grain free products so I’ll definitely be looking into this!
I have heard great things about Rachael Ray’s dog food lately. We have a friend who uses it for their pet.
This sounds like a great dog food. I will tell my sister about this for her dogs that have allergies.
I used to feed my dog grain free food. He was sick the last couple years of his life. (not in pain though). I started feeding him grain free and he really liked it. I think it kept him around longer. We never got to try Rachael Ray’s brand though.
Same here. I think the grain-free food helped our dogs live longer, too.
Your dogs are adorable! Our pets are truly members of our family – why not give them food that’s yummy and good for them!
We really have to try this. I’m glad it’s grain free and it looks delicious for the pups too.
I did not know about this dog food. Sounds great for pets. Your pets are adorable.
This approach to dog food totally makes sense to me. I’m sure dogs don’t eat grains in the wild. Cultivating a food that matches with their natural diet would seem the best.
I love that we’re getting smarter about our food purchases (for us and our pets). And I agree with what you’ve said here.
I didn’t know she had her own brand. Very cool!
I have always had rescue dogs as well and have not heard of this food so with Sandy having allergies I will have to check it out and see if she does better with it than what she is eating now
It is awesome to hear you have rescued 4 dogs so far & I love how much importance you are giving to make sure that they all get proper diet. Zero Grain looks like a healthy food which many dog owners would prefer.
This sounds great! My dogs could really use a better food, so thank you.
I didn’t know Rachael Ray made pet food. This looks really good and I may check it out for my little guy!
What a nice package to get! I love Rachel Ray! I do not have any dogs but if I did I so would use this brand!
Well, I certainly love her food so I bet my dogs will too! Their current food is not their favorite, but I wanted to provide them a healthy diet. It sounds like this is both healthy and good tasting.
Sounds like a very well balanced dog food! Love that it’s backed by Rachael Ray!
I was just looking at grain free dog food at the store today. Wish my dog wasn’t so picky!
What an adorable package they sent you! I love it, the pups tried Nutrish for awhile and they enjoyed it.
Aw your baby looks like he is enjoying it and I love it’s good for our fur babies. Plus love your front porch.
We tried Rachael Ray dog food before. Our dogs loved it a bunch!
So sweet! I love your dog’s names too. Haha! Such a great package they sent!
Lucky dogs!! This is such a great package and it sounds like a great dog food.
Rachel Ray makes dog food? That is something I did not know–nor was I aware that she donated to shelter animals. I wonder if she also makes cat food?
She does make cat food. Check out the links in the post and it will take you to the company page with all of that info.
Oh my goodness! I wasn’t aware about this. Your dogs are adorable and soooo good, so are their names. We’ve given our dog Gino, Rachel Ray’s food and he’s loved it!
Someone quoted me a saying the other day. I don’t trust a person who doesn’t love a dog. But I do trust a dog who doesn’t love a person! 🙂
I’ve learned that what you put into your dog or cat makes a big difference. The better the food the better their skin, coat, ears and it also changes the amount of times they poop.
Your doggies are so cute! I trust Rachel Ray, I would definitely feed my animals her food.
Such a wonderful tips, I’ve learned about dog food now. Thanks I’d like to share it too.
Your dogs are so cute! I really love Rachel Ray and all of her products. She really loves dogs!
Your dogs are so cute! I haven’t heard of this brand of dog delivery food. Rachel Ray is on it!
I am happy to see a company that is getting serious about food that is healthy for our animals.
We use grain free dog food too, but we use tractor supplies brand since it is easier on the wallet
I did npt realize Rachel Ray made this product grain free. I have been recommended to this by our vet. I am going to get this today. Also didn’t know proceeds went to help animals at shelters – awesome
