Have you been dreaming of living and partying like the “real” housewives of New Jersey? If so, then your prayers have finally been answered! Joe and Melissa Gorga’s vacation house on the Jersey Shore and their home in Montville are both on the market. For the low price of $520,000 you can be fist pumping with the likes of Snooki and Pauly D in no time on the Shore.
The two-bedroom house with two bathrooms on Mermaid Road is $15,000 cheaper than when it first went on the market in February. If you watch the show, the listing agent says it was the exact house the couple used to throw a pool party in last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Amenities include an outdoor kitchen and fireplace and a salt-water pool, in-ground of course. They’re the Gorgas after all.
The other house, a 6-bedroom estate with 7.5 bathrooms, is going for slightly more at $3.8 million. It’s located on nearly two and a quarter acres in Montville, NJ and apparently is a dream house Joe had built for his wife back in 2009. Rumors abounded that the couple couldn’t afford the house that was built as a construction model, using a construction loan with a balloon payment that’s now due. Using a mortgage calculator, you’ll discover that this rumor just may be true. If you put down $760,000 and chose a 30-year mortgage option with a 4½ percent interest rate, your monthly mortgage payment would come in at $15, 403. Property taxes for the mansion are over $52,500 a year to boot.
According to Joe, a builder, he designed and built both houses and will do the same for their next house, as well. He claims they tried living in Montville and just didn’t like it and hope to move back to Franklin Lakes, closer to his job. Melissa told US Weekly that while she really loves the Montville house she knows she’ll love the next one Joe builds just as much. She says this is the last time Joe will be able to convince her pack up.
According to one report, the couple listed their Montville property back in 2010 for over $4 million but then pulled the listing off the market. The Daily Mail reported that the estate has sold, but the listing is still up.
If you’re starting the process of selling your home and want to maximize your profit, you may want to consider looking into online estate agent services. These companies can provide you with the expertise and support needed to sell your house without the same amount of fees. Real estate agents would be sorely disappointed if the Gorgas chose this option since using an online service could save you thousands in agent fees and costs while still providing you valuable and necessary services. It’s worth a little research if this is something you’re interested in.
