Kate Gosselin will be a special correspondent for ET for the show Skating With The Stars and other Gosselin related updates.

Entertainment Tonight announced on their show Friday that Kate Gosselin will be a special correspondent for the show Skating With The Stars. The show premieres Monday, November 22. In the first round of competition, 6 celebrities and their pro skater partners hit the ice for competitive figure skating and ice dancing.

RadarOnLine also posted this story on Friday- Kate Gosselin Brings Back One Of The Family Dogs. Apparently “The happy reunion can be seen on a special Kate Plus 8 episode centering on Halloween which airs on TLC at 10 pm on November 28.”

RadarOnLine is also reporting that the children will spend Thanksgiving Day with Kate and the Friday after with Jon – Jon & Kate Gosselin Bury The Hatchet For Thanksgiving, Will Share Custody Of Kids.

There is also a story on LancasterOnLine.com regarding the situation with the recent change in the educational setting of a few of the Gosselin children. They report that: School employees have been warned not to talk about the case, according to one source inside the school. Faculty members were required to attend a meeting designed to inform them about the situation; officials with the Lower School (which includes preschool through fifth grade) asserted that the two Gosselin kids had not, in fact, been expelled, the source said. No further explanation was offered, said the source.

Congratulations to Kate for her upcoming assignment with ET.

Good for Kate. I’m sure all the haters will complain that she will be leaving the kids but she has to work. I wish her lots of luck!

Not a single word had to come out of Kate’s mouth – these GOOD NEWS stories speak for themselves. 1) ABC loves Kate…she did that children’s skating charity w. Weir in Connecticut! (Weir’s the controversial judge on the panel for this program!) 2) Even INF is sticking it to the know-it-alls who claimed the dogs went to a lady who requested ‘the Gosselin dogs’. 3) Lancaster knows how to run their school w. professionalism & class. I hope their ‘front office’ has a field day giving back to the nosey neighbors & clueless paps what they justly deserve – a one time warning to cease & desist!

Radar has posted photos of Jon picking up the children at the bus stop. I applaud his finally dressing as one might hope a dad would. He looks like he may have just come from a JOB. Grunge is not becoming…even in Hollywood!

I’m glad INF is squelching a rumor. They usually slam Kate. The breeder said he would keep the dogs if the Gs didn’t want them back. He had no plans to adopt to them out. This isn’t the article where I remember reading that, but it quotes it.

The breeder of the dogs- Jeff Christopher- has also said he will keep the 15 month old dogs for as long as the family needs him to. He has no plans to adopt them out if Jon and Kate do decide not take them back at all. They will stay in his family, Christopher said.

That breeder is wonderful isn’t he? I can’t imagine most breeders would be willing not to adopt out like that? Maybe I am wrong?

HB I agree with each of your points. I also hope the school asks the paps and NOSEY neighbors to mind their own business. Until this year, the school has been left alone.

In the past the haters have criticized the choice of school, the bus ride, where the bus stop is, snacking on the bus, which grade the children were in, the expense, the logo on their uniform, Velcro on their sneakers, whether Kate attends the functions, what she does with school projects, yadayadayada, but have they ever called the office for dirt before? Eh, probably, nothing would surprise me!

No schol would release info onany child whether it be private or public, so is the NN stalking the school now. She needs to be stopped before something happens to one of the G’s kids. She is drawing attention to a family in her area who deserve to go to school and have family time without her being involved. She is just plain scary. I would hope maybe Kate would tell the paps to go interview her for a TV spot and let her be shown in person, instead of hiding behind a computer screen bashing Kate all day.

Happy Thanksgiving to Kate, her children, and Kates extended family. We will say a prayer for all of them and hope the crazy is stopped.

I was watching TLC this morning and a Public Service announcement for Feed American came on and the Gosselin children were the focus. The announcer said to join the Gosselins and TLC in this worthwhile endeavor. He also said something about the Gosselin kids being healthy and well fed. Could this be why the ugly food rumors were started?

Not sure about that Paula but I did find this link to explain the program.
http://corporate.discovery.com/blog/2010/11/17/tlc-lends-its-support-to-feeding-america/ Sounds like a great program.
    .

I find it interesting that TLC is featuring the Gosselin family especially since the rumor is that they are done with Kate and her
    family. 😉

Congrats to Kate. I will watch ET tonight. I wonder how big a role she will have?
    .
The Feeding America program sounds awesome. I checked out their website and they indicate that $1.00 can be turned into seven meals!
    .
I am glad such a critical and important charity is getting the publicity and attention that TLC can give it.

Missed kate on ET tonight, but wish her the best.

The Feeding American program is wonderful. I work the food bank in my area, and many are in need this year. If possible, everyone please donate.

Snickers a lovely woman who used to have kids in our little school offered to old a baking class for some of the kids. My daughter stayed late and made pumpkin roll. They split their baked goods and brought half to the soup kitchen and half went home. It made her feel so good!

Our church handles the food bank in December, so we will work there soon. The soup kitchen is, of course, different. It was a pleasure for her to bake something fresh. We plan on doing it regularly.

Meant to add- I think it’s great that Kate is involving her kids in the campaign- as I know from experience how good it makes the kids feel to do something like that.

I thought Kate did well on ET tonight. She’s still not totally comfortable, but I think she gets more natural with every appearance. On a shallow note, and at the risk of sounding fan-girly, I thought she looked fabulous. I’m sure the haters will go on about how she looks 10 years older or whatever crap they can come up with, but I don’t know how they can type those things with straight faces, because she really looked gorgeous.

  15. Lily@IW says

    November 22, 2010 at 10:43 pm

I didn’t see her, but I’m glad to hear Kate looked fabulous. She was gorgeous at the Emmy’s. I will be watching ET tomorrow night to hear what Kate has to say.

I’m not sure about SKWS and how it will go. I didn’t watch. As for these star competition shows, I kind of wish they’d bring back Battle Of The Network Stars. Lots of stars and it wasn’t a big investment of time to watch. Just light fun watching to see how athletic or silly the stars were. They were people I knew too.

Of course Kate takes something so far away from her children, not like she is going to work, she takes things far away for a vacation so she don’t have to be home with the kids. Heck, troubled kids from what has been reported and she cares more about herself than the children. Use them for money, leave them for play. Court should give them to Jon and Ellen, they are the good parents.

  17. Melissa says

    November 23, 2010 at 2:53 am

Kate is a special correspondent on a show no one watches covering another show no one watches. And you can bet she isn’t corresponding with the kids from the Culver City Hampton Inn.

  18. Paige says

    November 23, 2010 at 4:41 am

Jimmmy, I don’t know your definitions of work and vacation but the standard defintion suggests that if Kate is collecting a paycheck from ET than she is working. The double standards are astonishing. How many other parents who have to travel for work (actors/actresses/athletes/journalists, etc) are crucified for leaving their children for a period of time?

Also Jimmy, what evidence do you have that Ellen is a good parent? She has never been a parent and we have seen nothing to suggest that she is a “good” one.

  19. Lily@IW says

    November 23, 2010 at 5:33 am

I hope there’s no way the children ever find out Ellen has followed and interacted w/the hate blogs against their mother. That’s not exactly good parenting. Plus, she’s not the parent. She was way out of line to interfere with the lives of Kate and Jon’s children.

Kate’s criticized whenever she’s away from home. She’s criticized when she’s at home too. It’s ridiculous to think she shouldn’t take assignments out of state. A good parent provides for their children. There’s no reason for her to turn down a job because she’s going to be away for a short time. If Jon had adequate housing for the children, they could probably stay with him when Kate is away.

  20. HB says

    November 23, 2010 at 6:20 am

The fact that Jon would show up w. Ellen at the children’s bus stop does make me wonder just how little respect this father has for what he knows is just plain wrong. I thought I recognized Ellen from the Radar unloading of a better dressed Jon at the bus stop…but it took a few days for INF to hold back a photo not sold…of Ellen helping out. It must be wonderful to be a PA government worker & get Fridays off…to insert herself where she clearly does not belong.

Hey Jimmy did you know an airplane can get you any where in the country in a few hours? I’m sure Kate was on the next plane available as soon as she could be.

  22. MamaP says

    November 23, 2010 at 7:20 am

And once again, the ugly double standard raises it’s head. Ugh.

No one complains when an actress or actor goes on location for a couple of months to shoot a film, leaving his or her children with a nanny. Not one person opens their mouth about ANY single parent who acts that does this! Oh, but God forbid that Kate finds employment that she enjoys that might require her to be away from her children for one day. I’m sure those kids think it’s just fine, and cooler than anything that their Mom is on TV interviewing famous people!!

  23. snickers says

    November 23, 2010 at 7:43 am

I guess Jimmy does not understand working for a paycheck to support a family and a vacation. Jimmy could always send Kate a tax free paycheck so she can stay home 24/7 and take care of her kids, while Jon is still sitting around and not working.

Sorry Jimmy, a 24 year old gf would never be allowed by children who have sold the rabid stories and filthy mouth she has. I do hope Kate and the courts take care of this problem soon so the kids do not have to deal with Ellen’s issues also. Not fair for Jon to keep piling crap on his children. Your remarks tell so much about you, you have no children, job or future. Kate has the next 15 years to help support these kids, and every job she can get will help pay the bills. I hope the offers continue for a bright future and moving on in life for Kate.
