Yesterday the Gosselin Blogs were abuzz with the news that Jon Gosselin’s pal, Robert Hoffman, removed all posts from his blog regarding Kate Gosselin and her private information that he had
stolen “found”and released in a poorly written E-Book. Some speculated that Kate Gosselin’s lawyers had successfully had these posts brought down while others taunted that Hoffman was just bringing things down so he could load up the “big guns” and release his new and improved crappy version.
Radar Online is reporting an exclusive today with information that Google has removed Hoffman’s blog post due to DMCA violations. ROL reports:
Now all of the material on his web site has been removed and Hoffman tells Radar, “…it would appear that the lawyers are at it again.”
He revealed he received this message at the top of his account page: “We have received a DMCA complaint for one or more of your blogs. Emails with the details were sent to you and all affected posts have been reset to “Draft” status (you may find them by selecting “Drafts” on the “Edit posts” page for each of the affected blogs). You may re-publish the posts with the offending content and/or link(s) removed. If you believe you have the rights to post this content, you can file a counter-claim with us.”
Hoffman says he never received any emails from Google or any other entity. The email directed him to Google’s policy on removing content.
Hoffman didn’t have direct passages from Kate Gosselin’s emails or diaries on his blog so the DMCA complaint could have come from the plethora of pap pictures that accompanied the posts. Could it be that the Paparazzi objected to the content because Hoffman didn’t own the copy write?
For those not vested in this saga, Robert Hoffman released a tell all E-Book several months back titled Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World. The book was yanked from the Amazon shelf at the request of Kate Gosselin’s attorneys who claimed Hoffman published information that did not belong to him. Hoffman claimed that he found all of the information in Kate Gosselin’s trash. If the book wasn’t enough of a sting, Hoffman also had a blog were he continued to taunt Kate Gosselin with information he had “found”. It is this blog where Google has removed all of the blog posts…for now.
We are pretty sure that the fat lady has not sung yet on this ongoing saga. Stay tuned.
