My head is spinning with thoughts of Jive. Hope my feet can keep up lol loving the fast pace looking forward to doing well on mon – Kate Gosselin via Tony Dovolani’s Twitter
Does it seem like we were just watching DWTS season premiere? Well, we might have been – ABC chose to re-run Monday’s night’s highly rated opening show on Saturday night. In catching a few minutes of it, I was struck again by the thought that Kate didn’t do as badly as some said she did. She was definitely in the second tier of dancers and the judges votes reflected that, but I think there might be something there. Time will tell. To recap, here is how the scoring went:
Dancer/Score
Nicole /25
Evan /23
Pam /21
Erin /21
Jake /20
Chad /18
Niecy /18
Shannen /18
Kate /16
Aiden /15
Buzz /14
According to the tabloid sites, Kate left PA for CA on Saturday. It appears Sunday – her birthday – Happy Birthday Kate! – was another working day for Kate and the rest of the cast. Many of the professionals and stars tweeted that they had to do camera blocking (whatever that is!) for Tuesday night’s results show.
So what do we know? Well, everyone who danced last week gets another opportunity to dance again and show their improvement and I think that is great. Considering the amount of effort all have put into this venture, I think they deserve a minimum of two chances. Actually, I am a softy, I’d give them more than than that, but this is competition, so somebody will be voted off this week during the Tuesday night results show.
We know Kate and Tony will be doing the Jive. My understanding is that all those who did the Viennese Waltz last week will be doing the Jive and all those who did the Cha Cha will be doing the Fox Trot. Don’t lay bets on this though. It will be interesting to see the switch-up. I, for one, want to see if Pammy is capable of performing a more refined dance and also combing her hair!
A lot remains unknown – particularly how the audience votes will play into who stays or goes. Speculation is Aiden Turner – with his low judges votes and a less strong fan base, might be in serious trouble, but he has the ability to help himself on Monday.
My advice – whoever you like – be it Kate or someone else – VOTE! Remember you can call, text and vote online.
And don’t forget we have two shows this week – Monday night’s competition night and Tuesday night’s results show (with a few surprises thrown in). Both shows start at 8/7 p.m.
Please be sure to share your thoughts about the upcoming show and check in during the show for live blogging!
Eek! I’m nervous about the jive. The fast dances always look so much harder than the slow ones (though I think that’s an illusion to some degree). Anyway, I’m excited for tomorrow night!
I was wondering if anyone has seen this article yet in the Boston Herald? It is titled “ Meredith Vieira goes to the mat for Kate Gosselin.”
“I think that’s baloney. I can’t speak for her, but I find it troublesome when other people weigh in on whether she’s a good mother. What do they know? Are they in her life?” Vieira, 56, told the Track.
That was nice of Meredith (and further disproves the talk that Kate was rude at the Today show). I have a feeling, though, that she is going to have a lot of people “telling” her why Kate is a bad mother.
Another Monday night and DWTS to look forward to. I think the jive may be a good dance for Kate, if she can get past the nerves. I hope to be able to vote this week, last week I was at my sisters and had to watch it after it had aired, so I didn’t get a chance to vote.
PS, I think Shannen was way worse than Kate, so I don’t think the judges scoring was at all fair.
I think Kate will do much better this week. She even posted a blog on TLC this week so I am hoping she can turn things around and become a bigger and better contender. Maybe she won’t win it all but I sure would like to see her go for a few more weeks. I have to agree Caren I didn’t think that Shannon did that well either I thought she was very stiff but what do I know ???? I can’t dance either. I have off tonite, but I have to work tomorrow night so I guess I will be calling hubby 🙂 Only one problem he is watching American Idol so he will have to channel flick for me.
I have to agree with Meredith, I have said that from the beginning unless you live with Kate 24/7 for a period of time it is not your place to judge if she is a good mother.
I too felt, after viewing it again on the DWTS site that Kate did better than even I’d given her original credit for. She looked nervous, a bit stiff, but she really did hit the dance moves, sways, and turns like she should have. Point your toes Kate!!
A guy at work was talking about the show today…. he said she did a pretty good job. “You know who I think is better than they gave point to, that mother of eight”, I cracked up.
Kate was horrible and weather or not you want to attribute that to nerves or not being able to dance is up in the air. Frankly, I don’t think she can dance and smile at the same time and that came across loud & clear. Kate Gosselin is a Camera Whore…She’s a lot of other things but I’m afraid it wouldn’t get posted here. She belongs back in Pa taking care of her kids in a smaller more affordable house…she could work as a nurse while trying to “hawk her wares”….
Pam, thansk for the link to the Boston Herald article. Good article.
Why do people think they should be able to tell another person what job they should work?
I am a nurse and it is not an easy job and the hours are long. There is also quite a bit of on going education that is required to renew your license and to keep up to date with all of the latest technology and drugs. Many areas require 12 hour shifts.
My kids are grown now but if I would have had a choice, I would rather be on DWTS than working long shifts in the ICU. I think I would have been happier and so would have my kids. That is just my opinion.
I have another question, is Pamela Anderson a Camera Whore? How about Erin or Shannen? I wonder who is taking care of Pamela’s kids? Not just for DWTS but also when she is traveling out and about and in Vegas, working. To tell you the truth, I don’t really wonder. I could care less. I just wanted to point out the double standard.
taking care of her kids in a smaller more affordable house-Cathy Carroll
Cathy, are you writing Kate’s checks for her bills? Are you privvy to her account? Once again, not any of our business nor should we judge another person’s life.
I should add, I would have never made it past the first week on DWTS. 😉
I most likely would have tripped and fractured an ankle or a wrist the first show.
Dear Cathy, Since you are so obsessed with your hatred of Kate why don’t you spend your time more effectively and go back to school and take some grammar classes or perhaps take a computer class and learn how to use spell check.
Pam I agree nursing is very tough on the family and the individual who is doing it. I don’t think most people appreciate what a nurse does and the hours that she puts in a shift. I salute you and thank you for being in the profession that you are in.
Pam, thanks for the link and you are cracking me up. It’s nice to see Kate getting some positive press.
From comments around some of the articles, others are still going on the USmag or OK rumor that Kate is not allowing Jon to spend time w/the kids. It was one of those tabloids. I can’t believe that at all. As a father he has rights and could be there if he wanted (other than those 9 days, he hasn’t been seen around again). Kate said in People she encouraged his time and sounded grateful he was there the 9 days. NTM, how well Kate did being around him during the holidays and events (like the first day of school and the twins bd) when he was trashing her so hard in the media and chasing all the skirts. I hate it when the paps snap pics of the kids, but it would be nice to hear that Jon is around.
I’m getting ready to watch. I didn’t realize the show was so long tonight. Is that always the case? Go Kate! I hope she’s more comfortable after getting the first night out of the way.
I’m also looking forward to seeing what the other contestants can do. I thought Pam was the best last week. Also, while you’re watching, think of two lies and a truth about yourself and post them here for our latest game in the lounge. It was a good time last time we played.
It’s ON!
Kate is looking hot (and nervous, I think) in red. OK, she just blew a kiss to her kids, or maybe to the haters??? Ha!
Well, the jive is a calorie burner, even for the new dancers, Shannon did OK.
Everyone looks purty tonight. (I mean on the show, but I’m sure you all do too!)
Here’s the info to vote for Kate:
800-868-3410 or text to 3410.
I signed up on abc.com so I voted there too. 🙂
Thanks, Lily. I was just looking for the number!
And my two cents…. as a full time Charge Nurse, making max wages…… I make $28 bucks an hour… working my arce off and paying huge insurance premiums. Do you really think Kate could go back and support her kids on that??? Why does everyone want her to go back to nursing? Most nurses would rather get out of nursing to a career that doesn’t require one to have a back with a steel rod after years of lifting patients. I love what I do…. I don’t lift anymore…. but if I could choose to dance and smile in a camera instead! (and for much better wages I’m sure). Why don’t people who don’t like her just not like her and stop picking apart her choices? Oh who am I kidding….. it’s human nature to hate, be green with envy and the internet lets it all hang out.
GO KATE! She looks cute in her RED. Pam looks rather classy in her pink with her hair up. See I said something nice about Pamela Anderson…… and I’m human…. guess there is a flip side to human behavior.
Why does the voting end only half an hour after the show? That just encourages people to vote for people they like, rather than the best dancers (which is what I’m doing, but still…).
I registered at abc.com. Do i really get 10 votes per night??
I think it’s eleven votes, on ABC.com and per phone.
And Kat, I think people want her to go back to nursing because she would barely be able to support her family. And it definitely wouldn’t be in the manner to which they’ve become accustomed. That would make people very happy.
Sad isn’t it Kiki…..
Okay, off to give my last 5 votes. And Evan looked pretty good doing the Jive. Okay, I won’t give anymore away to those who can’t see it yet….
Ohhhhh, tears….. not a good sign…
When you register with ABC.com do you have to have a a Facebook, Twitter or My Space account or is there another way to do so?
I just voted 33 times, and I’ve got 5 more phones. LMAO. Do I get a prize at the end of the night?
Pam, I registered without FB, etc. I went to the abc.go.com and clicked on the DWTS logo all over the top. I voted using two different email accounts. There is a link to register, then voting is just clicking on the dance pair. That’s 22 votes.
Oooooo! Kate is crying on the previews? They sure know how to keep the haters tuned in. ABC, you are geniuses.
Pam, no you don’t have to have any other accounts. You just register your email.
I’ve got 4 email accounts. 🙂
Pam, I don’t think I had to have a FB account, it gave me the option to link to mine if I wanted.
Ann, you def gets some sort of prize.
Kat, I agree. I thought Evan looked good too.
Do they really make the stars stand the entire time? Are there chairs out of camera site? How tiring before and after you dance, hard on the nerves too.
Kiki, I’m not quite sure that purty is the word to describe me this night.
I wish I could share this marble cake w/fudge frosting w/all of you. It’s bakery and it’s soo good.
Kat, are you really voting 44 times? 🙂
I thought Niecy looked great, very peppy. I hope Kate does well. Everyone else seems to have improved.
I got it now, thanks. Registered and sent in my votes. I have several email accounts also, hmmm.
You have cake?! I’m sure you’re gorgeous, Lily.
Do they go in the same order each week, or is it just a coincidence that Kate (and Pam) is in the second hour? To keep the viewers perhaps?
yes, I’m voting 44 times…lol. If the site will keep up. It is having a little bit of a drag in the registering.
I must say… so far… everyone seems to be doing a great job!
I think it’s the same order again, Kiki. Odd, since that seems to be a disadvantage for the first and last dancers.
Bruno is being nicer this week.
The Bachelor did OK. Another improved performance. Scores are all up.
Thanks ladies for the “voting tips”!! I needed that! As far as the negativity, I’m not even going to address what I think of or would like to say regarding “the haters” tonight!!
Kat, I loved what your coworker had to say about “the mother of eight”! That cracks me up too!
You know what?? Maybe, the “drama and tears” in rehearsals is a teaser for a positive turn around like with Aiden Turner??? We’ll see here shortly!
Here comes Buzz.
Kat, I just got 44 votes in by phone and online. I am trying to talk someone else into voting around here. Thank goodness for daughters!
Lily, Thou shalt not tempt during the last days of Lent. Hide that cake! 🙂
How can you not love him? But, I don’t think Buzz and his wife spent too many nights dancing.
Same order for the stars? I agree that has disadvantages. They should draw for spots.
I most likely would have tripped and fractured an ankle or a wrist the first show. – Pam, upthread, describing what would happen if she were on DWTS
Good thing you’re a nurse!
Oh, I just love Buzz. He is clearly an old guy, but what a guy! I just love him. Great routine, great song (“Fly me to the Moon.”) Sorry, Kate, I am saving 1 vote for Buzz.
OMG, Buzz’s score was so low. Argh! I may have to vote for him twice.
Hey, did I see Connie Stevens sitting next to Buzz’s family? They could have at least given him all fives. Maybe they’re scoring him low to get people to vote for him.
Kiki, I didn’t see her, I think I might have been typing.
Kate’s eyes look so dark. Pam looks very Marilyn tonight. They are all so much better, I am nervous for Kate.
My thoughts on Kate going back to nursing (and I’m not sure if I had posted this here before, or just said it to my husband…)… no hospital would EVER give her a nursing gig, just because she IS famous. Can you imagine the HIPPA and privacy violations with the paps following her to and from work, analyzing whether or not she is working enough hours to support her kids, and what shoes she is wearing? I applaud her for getting recertified last fall, but I’m sure she knows that she could never do that. And it’s sad, because I get the idea she would be a good one – keeping those doctors in line!
I’m officially watching my very first DWTS right now – I just turned in on, though, almost 90 minutes in, so I probably missed Kate. Oh well!
And funnily enough, no one told me I was a bad mom when I worked crazy hours when my son was a baby, but I definitely took some heat when I decided to stay home with him. Society can’t have it both ways – or is it just when you have 8 kids that they expect you to stay home with them all? Maybe Jon should be with them instead…
Kiki, I didn’t see her, I think I might have been typing.
Kate’s eyes look so dark. Pam looks very Marilyn tonight. They are all so much better, I am nervous for Kate.
I see the chairs now. 🙂
Kate looks gorgeous in red- so excited to see her up next!
Did I miss Kate? I thought she was up after Pamela.
Nope Kate is last this week.
What? To be continued …
Ouch…. (for those of you who just saw that…… you know what I’m talking about)
Welcome MamaP
Not sure if you have posted here before but I hope you post more.
Brave. ….. I can only say… she is brave. Nerves are killing her…. look at her stressed face! Bruno is right… she’s isn’t an actress and performing … that is a big part of it.
Well, Kate will never be a dancer. But I give her alot of credit for trying.
Yeah, that was pretty rough! She just looks so nervous!!
And yes, I posted here before, but only once. I like her response about learning to communicate. She seemed to start off so well, though…
Well, she looked like this was sooooo tough. Very nervous, trying to concentrate.
I really do identify with Kate right now. THAT is exactly how I would look dancing. Not great, thinking hard, struggling.
Lowest score next to Buzz. I’m for the underdogs!
Welcome MamaP. I also hope you post some more.
Hope we didn’t spoil too much for you westerners.
I give Kate an A for bravery and she got some of the moves right.
Kat, I agree that was a big ouch for Ocho. I felt bad for him.
Seeing Chad up second last proves they mixed up the order, but not by much. Kate needs to dance first next week so she can relax and enjoy.
Yikes…she did better than I ever could. Kudos for trying. The show is kind of odd. Kate and Nicole are worlds apart in experience and talent. It is part talent show, part popularity contest.
I know Wendy, they are worlds apart. Do the judges consider that when they score it?
Well, I sometimes stumble over my Walk Away the Pounds dvds, so I’ve gotta give her credit for hanging in there. They’re really getting their money’s worth out of her. She has to wait until last to perform and they show all that drama first. I know what people will say about her, but I saw someone who was just very frustrated over her inability to learn the steps. At least she cared enough to be upset, instead of blowing it off.
They don’t appear to, do they Ann? I guess the votes from fans levels the playing field.
Kiki…too funny! I took a jazzercize class years ago and would always stay in the back. Invariably, when the class would turn around, I’d be facing the wrong way.
Well said Kiki. Well said.
They are getting their money’s worth out of her. I am glad she’s getting the big money. It was a good move on her part and TLCs, to keep her in the spolight. She also looks like a normal mom who happens to be on TV more than ever. It won’t hurt that image. She’s so brave.
She’s real…. a real person, not an actress, dancer or performer. These dancer just get tougher from here. As with all the dancers, I’ll just watch and hope for the best.
Invariably, when the class would turn around, I’d be facing the wrong way.
-Wendy
That happens at weddings too, Wendy. Its best to stay in the middle of the group!
oh my…god love her! i’d have been crying too. but she did hold her tears in.
my chin hit the floor on the clip they showed before kate and tony danced.
i did want to say that if people think kate uses her *mom* status to gain sympathy…wonder what they think of buzz using the american flag and everyone talking about him being a *hero*?
oh…i don’t think it’s fair either. it’s weird to me that in a dancing contest being a hero, having your dad die, etc. all make a difference. i realize this would have an effect on kate’s scores too but in all fairness it shouldn’t be some people with loads of experience and some with none competing in something that several have professional experience that will put them far ahead of the others.
I just saw it on video. Pretty painful. Kate is not a dancer, that is obvious. Also, she looks very stressed. Very nervous.
The nurse in me wants to give her a sedative prior to performing. I do give her credit for trying.
She looked beautiful, though.
yes she looked really good. bless her heart! she has guts! but then the judges even said she is a worker!
Yes, I think she could use a little medicinal assistance.
I’m going to have to avoid reading certain threads on some of the forums I frequent. Too frustrating. I can certainly see that her behavior in that clip was not the best, but I don’t see how it can be called bitchy (among other things). She wasn’t being rude or sarcastic, she was just not getting it, and it was freaking her out.
I don’t think she’ll be going home yet, if she gets the audience votes that she got last week.
Maybe she’ll loosen up if she gets another chance. We can hope, anyway.
DWTS puts a lot of drama into their snippets behind the scenes. Yikes, how about Aiden making Edyta cry? Did he get lambasted for doing that? Probably not. But, oh, Kate is a bitch again so say the bitchiest of the women on the web. 🙂
I hope Kate takes Len’s words to heart and gets it out of her head that she’s not as good as the rest. That’s messing her up mentally and making her settle. Like Len said, she needs to make her nerves work for her…she needs to come out fighting.
I voted several times. I hope she stays on in the competition. And, I hope she gets to be one of the first to dance next week. ABC is certainly holding her last to keep viewers tuned. That’s wreaking havoc with her nerves waiting.
The nurse in me wants to give her a sedative prior to performing.-Pam
That’s funny Pam.
Theresa, your posts NEVER fail to make me LOL no matter how difficult my day might be! I sure do wish that Kate would log onto our IW site so she could “feel the love” from most of us.
God Bless Her Sweet Heart!! She really did try her best and I know that her kids must be beaming with pride to see there Mommy get out there, face her fears and insecurities and give her ALL…and I believe that’s what she did tonight.
I don’t know if anyone else felt the same way, but I actually got a little tear in my eye for her when she told Tony that ” a lot of people in her life quit on her.” That broke my heart because it seemed to come from deep inside her heart and it made me wonder how many “other” family, friends, etc. have quit on her that the general public doesn’t even know about.
I’m no psychologist, but whenever she and Tony argued during rehearsal, she was just trying to discuss her frustration with him and this reminded me a lot of some of the interactions she had with Jon. The difference was that Tony’s maturity level was so much higher than Jon’s as he (Tony) was able to “take a breath” and then listen… where Jon would have barked back something smart-mouthed and even hateful without attempting to take the time to listen and understand that Kate was just trying to communicate something to him…not win a war..as Jon made it seem.
Like I said, I might be totally off base there, but that’s how it came across to me. I’m with the rest of you gals that can’t stand peeking over at the “hate sites” because I’m sure they’re taking things out of context and picking everything apart.
I also agree that she will have enough votes to pull her through to the next level. I just really hope they keep her around because I truly feel that (at some point) she’s going to hit her stride and then we’ll really see some improvement.
I have to agree ladies her poor nerves got the best of her again. But I did see progess in her steps and tempo compared to last week. I agree DWTS is using her to get the ratings using her as the last dancer. I loved the dress and thought she looked great in red also. I think Buzz will be the first to go because of the combination scores. Jaquelyn I am going to agree with your statements above I think she was really just trying to communicate to him that she was having trouble understanding his teaching method and trying to explain to him that it wasn’t him it was her and her learning style.
She sucked…..but so what. Yes, it would be great if she would do better, but I love her even more because she can’t. Is that crazy? haha. Come on, I know exactly how she feels.
Is TLC filming any of this? Has anyone heard anything about her new show? What about her book, I haven’t heard anything about that either.
She looked exhausted to me. I tried to vote but it rang busy. I will try and vote online this morning. But, would she rather we didn’t vote, so she could get off the show without quitting? I know I would!
It’s obvious that she is the one pulling in the viewers because they put her at the end.
Susan, I haven’t heard about the new show yet, either. But, with her blogging on TLC, perhaps they are indeed taping for an upcoming episode or two on her new show. I thought they would have the little kids on with her when they show their practicing behind the scenes or something. Just little snippets of them.
I think she’s brave for going on this show. I can’t even do the Electric Slide, let alone go in front of millions of people each week and do something out of my comfort zone. She’s definitely teaching her kids to be fearless.
Jacquelyn, glad you have a smile on your face, friend. Hope you are doing well!
Had a stress headache after waiting for Kate to dance last night, especially since the show was toying with us about the drama. As several of you have said, Kate is not a dancer, and in my years of watching the show, I don’t remember anyone as “real” as Kate, but maybe I’m forgetting. I was feeling bad for her after the performance, but went to watch it again on YouTube this morning. Yes, it was not good, but except for the obviously bad part where they were doing footwork separately and she was just bouncing, it was an admirable performance given she’s not a natural. She was shaking her head at herself during the next part of the dance, at least that’s what it seemed like to me.
It’s hard to imagine her going much further, because almost (I said almost) everyone else is so good. There comes a point when the difficulty of learning multiple dances in one week will probably be too much, but I’m sure she’ll keep trying. Because of the way ABC milks the drama, though, I think I’ll tape it and fast forward through the drama for EVERY contestant … it’s not the fun part of the show. I admire Kate’s bravery, but do think the comments they are airing (“people tend to quit on me in life” is the example I can think of right now) give credence to those who say she wants to be seen as a victim. I think she is admirable and will continue to be a big supporter, but think some of her comments seem manufactured for sympathy. The comments may just be Kate being real, but they even make this fan cringe a little bit.
I didn’t watch but the snippets I saw were really, really painful to see. I think waiting the 2 hours to dance is like a pressure cooker to her. She needs to dance sooner. But the liklihood of that after last night is grim. She will be the first to go and if she is not I hope they will let her dance earlier next week. ABC is putting so much pressure on her for their stupid ratings… for her sake I hope she is voted off tonight. I will not watch…
In my youth I was a trained dancer, and I think it’s ludicrous to expect a total neophyte to learn to dance in one week. It was obvious to me that Tony has forgotten that she doesn’t even know the language. I studied for ten years and still hadn’t gotten it all nailed down. That said, yes Kate was not the best dancer last night, but she tried harder just to reach that level of competence and kudos to her for the effort. And I will continue to give her all my votes for as long as she stays on the show, for her effort and her bravery and to confound the GWOPers, who think they should be able to dictate to her how to live her life and earn her living.
Of course ABC is having her dance last, to get the ratings for the whole two hours. And that is hard on someone like Kate, who has the jitters so bad. But, that’s show business and it will be a good lesson for her, if she thinks it through.
Last night I was limited to two types of voting as I don’t know how to text apparently. I have a Motorola Razor and got to the create message screen OK, entered the text “vote” but couldn’t figure out how to send it to the four digit number. Can any of you younger, smarter and more experienced texters help me?
PS A note to Cathy Carroll, please stop using words like whore, it is very offensive to me. And please take some English 101, so that you are using the correct words for things. I probably will never agree with much you have to say, but I would take you more seriously if you showed even the minimum level of intelligence. It is hard to care what you have to say when you appear to be an ignorant cracker. “Hawking her wares” on prime time television is a lot more lucrative. And, as a final comment, I really dislike your use of that term, and the implication behind it. It is majorly offensive to me. Not to mention rude and vulgar and certainly libelous.
Caren,
I know how to text but I did not attempt to vote that way because I knew I would probably not figure it out. 🙂
I voted with the toll free number and I voted on ABC.com. Which was pretty easy.
Caren, Did you call someone an “ignorant cracker”?
Cathy Carroll said “she’s alot of other things but I’m afraid it wouldn’t get posted here.”
You have us mixed up with GWOP. It’s that site that doesn’t post any opposing views to their hate.
She also said “Kate was horrible and WEATHER or not….”
The correct spelling is WHETHER, when speaking of 2 alternates. If you want to speak of cloudy or sunny conditions, rain, snow, etc then you can use WEATHER.
And as for her being a “camera whore”….what does that make everyone else on the show ?
To Lalalinda:
Yes I did, and I’m heartily ashamed of myself for allowing my temper to get the better of my civility. Please, one and all, accept my most humble apologies. I do strive to be civilized, but I have struggled with my temper all my life and lose more often than I would wish. I will try to be more temperate in my remarks in the future.
Kate needs to grow up and accept she will never be a Hollywood celebrity and bow out of the show gracefully and go home to PA and figure out a positive way to make money. I would be a nervous wreck with the media diaster that is surrounding her. Media is saying that the other dancers didn’t clap for her, wouldn’t look at her, and that Tony has had it with her and dislikes her and wants to quit. How much humiliation can she take? Does she actually think it is to her benefit all this horrific media scrutiny? I have always found it unbelievable how people have no common sense and only think of themselves and IMO Kate is right there now. How can it be good for the kids to hear all the negative comments, how can she hear and experience the same without saying enough? Boggles my midwest, small town mind.
I think Kate just needs to relax and have fun like Buzz. She needs to realize that she is in over her head, do her best and if her best is not good enough, go home when she is voted out. She will be voted out soon. I personally don’t think she should quit.
I did notice that there was definitely tension in some of the post interviews last night. I also noticed that Tony was not standing by her much during the show. However, I did see her and Pamela Anderson chatting it up at one point.
Media is saying that the other dancers didn’t clap for her, wouldn’t look at her, and that Tony has had it with her and dislikes her and wants to quit. How much humiliation can she take? Does she actually think it is to her benefit all this horrific media scrutiny?-BMBMGoBlue
That’s the first I’ve heard about any horrific media scrutiny regarding DWTS and Kate. Every interview I’ve seen (on the rag mag shows, Inside Edition, ET, etc), the other dancers have all been complimentary. There was the one interview with Marc Ballas in some rag mag that was blown out of context, and he even stated that his words were taken out of context and more on Access Hollywood. Granted, I haven’t read any rag mags regarding Kate and DWTS, but I can certainly recognize what is made up for their purpose of selling their trash.
I think you’re right Pam. Kate needs to just relax and have fun. She’s not going to take home the trophy, so just go with the flow and enjoy.
Yes that was very rough for Kate. Maybe she has a hard time just being care free, she’s had a lot on her plate for many years. It looked like she forgot her steps a couple times. I really enjoyed listening to her tell her dancing partner that while he was a good teacher, he needs to take into consideration the way she learns.
While she won’t take home the trophy, I can’t give her enough kudos for being able to stand up there while the judges gave their remarks. I’d probably have been crying like a baby.
I say she’ll be on the show maybe 2 more weeks. I think Buzz, Aiden & Shannen will be on the chopping block as well.
I love Niecy Nash!
I didn’t mean to be derogatory regarding the horrific media coverage, just look at what she has been through the past year? The media is People, Us Weekly, In Touch, OK magazines is who I was referring to doing stories on the “spat” w/Tony and how there was tension in the waiting room where they didn’t sit together unless the camera was on. I would be a total mess and no matter how much money they paid me it would be difficult for me to suffer that type of coverage and humiliation day after day, week after week. No matter how strong you are how much is enough? Quit the Hollywood dreams and find another passion to earn income, she can be an entrepeneur (sorry spelling).
Did anyone else think Buzz’s wife looked scary? One more reason why people should never have plastic surgery on their face- it just doesn’t look well.
Long time lurker, first time poster here. I was hoping for the best on last night’s show but was prepared for the worst given her performance last week as well as by her own admission that she really can’t dance. And sadly, apparently she was right.
I’m sure they took the worst takes during Kate’s and Tony’s practice times and included them in last night’s broadcast to create drama, and was being promoted to garner more interest (read: ratings) in the show. But is this publicity coming at Kate’s expense? I would hope the powers-that-be wouldn’t stoop so low as to make Kate a “Look at me, I’m an awful shrew” in the hopes of making their show #1 in it’s time slot. There are eight little reasons why that would be wrong, wrong, wrong.
I feel bad for her, I know this was a way to boost her confidence and get herself back in the public eye. The media, particularly People Magazine has always been very pro-Kate…. but unfortunately, as with most celebrities what the press builds up they also tend to tear down. Hope that doesn’t happen to poor Kate as she’s suffering enough humiliation on this show as it is.
Just to chime in here… as if I didn’t enough last night…haha. When she was trying to communicate to Tony it did ring like her conversations with Jon seen on the show. She is Kate, can’t say she is anything other than herself. I understand her, sadly or goodly (is that a word), I’m similar to Kate in personality. It’s a trying to get someone to hear you kind of thing. Not always seen well, or heard well, but it’s the way we communicate. It takes work to reign it in. I do give her credit for trying, but feel horrible for wishing she stays around on the show. She can’t dance, she is trying, but she can’t dance. I’m watching Inside Edition….. and of course, it’s all Kate. Where are the others? Ocho wasn’t so hot either, has a difficult to grasp personality, but he’s not blasted on TV. How about Pam… sex kitten to the end. …. guess that’s okay. Oh well, just my opinion. I guess I’ve stuck up for Kate because I understand her. We, can be harsh at times, without seeing it, and I myself have gotten blasted for something I said or did without having a clue. “nastiest fight in the show’s history”……. oh come on!!! Didn’t someone make Edtya cry??? Poor Kate, for her I’m not sure this was a good career choice. She has to at least laugh at herself or the diva crud will gain more fuel.
Hi Spencer and Welcome!
Hope you continue to post and not lurk. After watching interviews today, I am not so sure Kate is suffering humiliation, LOL. I think she thought she did ok. I am wondering how she feels today after she sees the tape. Last week, when I re-watched her performance, I came away with the feeling that maybe it was not so bad. Not so this week. I do wish her the best though and wish she would just relax. I would not mind seeing her mistakes if she would just have some fun.
I’d rather poke,
I definitely see what your are seeing 🙂
Kat,
In my mind, maybe they did not show it all, but that wasn’t really even a fight. Maybe a disagreement. I really think ABC is using her for ratings. They just released their ratings and the last half hour last night was the highest ratings they have ever received , if I read it right.
Ach, the elimination is on.
Wow! I don’t know if I should tell?
Deja Vu. I even have another piece of cake. (a small piece) Oh, there are dance offs?
Hi to everyone!
Tell, tell! I’d rather read about it here than somewhere else.
I agree on Buzz Aldrin’s wife. She may be a perfectly nice lady, but scary looking!
Buzz is safe. Pam is in the bottom two.
There was somebody else, but the Beach Boys were incredibly painful and put it out of my head.
Got it back, Aidan and Edyta are also safe.
Evan and Anna are safe.
Well I imagine when Tom_Bergeron tweeted this afternoon –
Just found out tonight’s bottom two on DWTS! WTF???
he was talking about Pamela Anderson.
Darn you Lily, and your cake! I’ve been thinking about cake all day.
Yeah, Buzz’s wife overdid it, and Buzz has had some work himself. You’ve got to know when to stop with the plastic surgery.
Jake & Chelsie
Nicole and Derek
These guys are safe.
I’m really surprised Pam is in the bottom two. I kind of like her. At least I know who she is.
I think Pamela was pretty good also and had a shot of one of the top three spots or so. That is why I think Tom Bergeron was shocked on his twitter account. I guess Pam must not be that popular as far as voting goes.
I am surprised about Pam too. I really liked her fist dance, the second one was good too. There was a sad shot of her w/her head on her partner’s chest immediately after she was told. She brushed it off fast and got back into character. I felt so bad for her.
Kiki, it was good. 🙂 Sorry, (I always have some chocolate at night.)
Did I miss something about Ocho?
If they’re combining last week’s votes with this week’s, I don’t think Kate will be going.
Erin and Maks
Chad and Cheryl (guess I didn’t miss anything about Ocho)
These guys are safe
Shannon and Kate are the only ones left I think.
I think Kate would like to throw up. She looks stressed.
Kate is safe! Poor Shannon.
WOW!!! I did NOT expect Kate to make it through this week!!!
I didn’t either except ABC would be a fool to not have her back because of the ratings they say she brought in.
I think Kate thought she was going home too. I got the feeling she was just standing there knowing they were getting ready to call her name.
I’m with Pam. ABC knows Kate is bringing in the ratings. She’s going to be on for at least another week or so.
She looked happy to have stayed. So, I’m hoping that this week, she learns how to shimmy from her new friend Pamela and let loose next week.
Poor Shannon. I guess she doesn’t have the fan base.
I know they are getting the big ratings in part due to Kate, but I am getting tired of all the nasty reports. The latest one, about Kate trying to get Tony fired, just doesn’t jibe with what we saw.
She wasn’t yelling or bitching or being nasty to him. I don’t know where the reports originate, if it is with ABC, or if they are made up to get more traffic on internet sites, tv shows, and magazines. It’s like they are taking all the main GWoP points and making up stories based on them, whether there is even any basis in fact. The stories are all so predictable. I think most people would be watching to see for themselves how she does, without all the manufactured drama.
kiki i agree but we all know that *sources* can be anyone telling someone anything. sad.
theresa, “she looked happy to have stayed”? lol i guess so! she squealed and hugged tony’s neck so hard! lol.
very happy for her…and again i’ll say, this is not a dance contest. more of a popularity one. if it were a true dance contest, buzz would be gone. lol
good for you kate!!!!

I don’t think ABC would make up false reports to generate traffic on other venues. However, I do think those other venues (internet sites, tv shows, and magazines) will do it to get their traffic hits. To make up that she’s trying to get Tony fired is totally stupid. Sounds gwoppish and like you said Kiki, probably all taken from gwop to get any kind of story to sell their magazine or show. Smart people know what’s made up. The others run with the ridiculous stories.
I do wish ABC will let Kate dance earlier next week, and not at the end of the show to keep people watching. That is what I think ABC is guility of…using her for their own ratings.
I agree with Kiki, Kimmie, Theresa, etc. 🙂
Let’s give Kate a break and let her dance earlier next week.
I felt bad for Shannen, but the fact that Mark is hurt and she would have had to change partners would have put her at a disadvantage going forward. Maybe it is me, but I didn’t get the sense that Shannen was heartbroken to be calling it quits.
ABC is using Kate big time. As long as she gets the paycheck she is promised, I think Kate is practical enough to just tune out the silliness and speculation. In particular, I have a hard time believing the “fire Tony” story. Kate is not stupid and she would have to realize this is just not how it works. She has always been loyal to those who have been loyal to her (TLC, Zondervan, etc.). I think she knows ABC is signing the paychecks and while she may have her “difficult” moments, I really doubt she would even think of proposing such an idea.
Hoping that Kate can work on some relaxation techniques and enjoy herself a little more next week. We will see.
Last week, when I re-watched her performance, I came away with the feeling that maybe it was not so bad. Not so this week. I do wish her the best though and wish she would just relax. I would not mind seeing her mistakes if she would just have some fun. – Pam
Pam, weighing in late, but I just wanted to say I agree. It was disappointing to me that Kate took a step backward this week. In my opinion, Week One was a much easier routine. And she had more time to practice. The performance was decent I thought. I don’t think 6’s from all the judges (which she didn’t get) would have been ridiculous.
Week Two – well, I wish I had better things to say, but it was not good at all. The 5’s she got were deserved.
Relaxing would help a lot. She did smile a bit during this week’s routine. That is a small improvement.
I see no reason to be cynical. I think she can improve a bit. Solid 6’s or 7’s would be be great! If (and it’s a BIG IF) she achieves this, I think 75% of it will be mental on her part.
I had to work last nite till 10.30 but my wonderful husband left me a voice mail that Kate was saved! I just hope next week she knocks them dead, she is trying so hard. I know Shannon made her father proud ,and with her partners injury it was probably for the best. Pam being part of the elimination is not a shock to me. For families that let their children watch the sexpot image is most likely the issue. Even for me it a little too much at times.
The latest rumour about Kate wanting to fire Tony just irratates me. Some of the couples also had spats last week and the drama wheel is not dealt to them. I think Kate has explained it pretty well. It so hard to learn these dances in 4 days, you are with a person that you just met 4 weeks ago and communication and frustration on both sides come out. One bad moment does not sour all that these couples accomplish.
I don’t understand all the hoopla around the disagreement between Kate & Tony. This is nothing new on DWTS, they show this type of bickering between the couples every season. People like to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Have you all seen this interview with Kate and Tony?
http://www.accesshollywood.com/kate-gosselin-and-tony-dovolanis-dancing-drama-march-30-2010_video_1214555
I think Tony was being a bit of a diva. That was pretty rude, just walking away. And Kate can’t be blamed for it, because the interviewer quoted another contestant. Kate was very complimentary to Tony, and very calm about him leaving.
With Pam and Shannon being the bottom two this week, Kate will probably be there even longer than I thought. I would have maybe expected her to go before them. I just hope she gets a decent performance in first.
I just watched the interview and IMO Tony was not best pleased when she quoted Nancy Odell and then ignored his comment to ask the other nine contestants he worked with. That’s why he walked away. I don’t think Tony is a man to suffer fools easily and the interviewer was trying so hard to stir up an argument between Tony and Kate. I though she (the interviewer) was awful. And Kate took all her attempts to create sparks in stride. I think she was great and I liked her attitude and her candor. I got a chuckle out of her comment about doing things BIG, having eight kids in three years and learning to dance on DWTS. This interview is a good example of what I like about Kate. Her dancing not so much, but I’ll keep voting for her and I hope she stays for several more weeks. And say what you will, last nights results put the lie to the GWOPers constant refrain that “everyone just wants her to disappear”. Obviously, a lot of people are supporting her so the best they can say is “everyone on our site wants her to disappear”. And that’s not really that many different people, is it? Has anyone actually ever counted the users on that site?
Buzz Aldrin has definetely had work. Thankfully, not as much as his wife has. And not by really good doctors, but at least he keeps on smiling through the judges critiques. Of course, it’s because he has a permanent smile from having the lift too tight but, hey, smiling beats crying any day of the week. He has got to go, his body is as immovable as his face and it’s painful to watch.
Just a quick note on the viewers voting trends. I have watched every season of DWTS and here’s how it goes….for the first 6 to 8 weeks it’s a popularity contest, doesn’t matter how well you dance (or how badly) you get to stay. Once it’s down to the last 4 or 5 dancers, it starts to be about the dancing, and people seem to get behind the really talented dancers. And in the end, with two exceptions, I think that the best dancer has been consistently awarded the top prize. The two exceptions are: last season, Kelly Osborne should not have won, it wasn’t even a close call IMO. The season before I was voting for Giles Marini, but there I think I was prejudiced and it was a very close call. Really, a toss up between the top two and the coin landed the wrong way for Giles.
Caren, you’ll love this if you’re a Giles fan. Actually, overall it’s a great bit…

I totally agree! I think Tony didn’t want to deal with anyone’s BS and this interviewer started to make something out of nothing, he saw through it and left.
Yes, Mrs Aldrin does seem like she stepped off the spacecraft.
Oh Theresa, that was the funniest bit I have ever seen. By the end I was howling. However in the world did he get all those actors to do that, do you suppose? It was hysterical. And the fvinale, with Jednnifer turning off the light with a clapper. Too much!! Thank you for sending me that link, you’ve made my day.
If you saw Sex And The City you should totally understand why I adore Giles. But he sure could dance too.
Did anyone see this video from last night?
I don’t think next weeks song/dance routine is going to be about Jon. I think it is going to be about the paparazzi in Kate’s life and how she has to deal with them. Isn’t there some songs out there about the paparazzi?
I should have been more clear in my above comment. I was referring to this story line
I see that some of the so called “hater” sites are running with this story and bashing Kate because they feel this article means that Kate is going to go after Jon. After watching this video, I am wondering if it is going to be related to the whole paparazzi thing.
It’s Lady Gaga’s song, Pam. It’s called Paparazzi.
It would be easier to guess the song, if we knew what the dance as going to be. I don’t know Lady GaGa’s work, what would you dance to it? Something latin, maybe? Since she did the waltz and jive (both are considered ballroom) it’s probably going to be latin. So maybe a ChaCha or Mambo. They’re both very fast. If it’s a Samba or Rhumba they’re slower and more sensuous. Are there any songs that are about a woman as a home maker? “She’s Always A Woman To Me” comes to mind, but maybe not taking all the lyrics into consideration.
Went to GWOP site out of curiosity, the recurring theme is that the show is fixed and Kate is to stupid to see that ABC is using her as a rating cash cow. That’s what they said….all America hates Kates but she draws the ratings. Am I the only one who can’t see the contradiction here? And why, pray tell, is there anything wrong with Kate and ABC making hay out of her popularity and ability to draw fans to watch the show? One poster went so far as to say it was possible that ABC is deliberately having her dance poorly for the first couple of weeks so that when she dances well it will a big hoorah about “Can Do Kate” thuis boosting the ratings even higher. These people are seriously demented. I mean, really.
Oh, and one more thing: One poster said that Kate’s dancing was tantamount to being cruel to her children, because Mady and Cara are going to get teased at school over their mothers dancing ability. And the teasing will permanently injure them.
I only read the most recent 6 posts and now all my jolly from Theresa’s funny web site has dissolved. I’m going to make myself some toast and put jelly on it, I need something to cheer me up.
Caren, I have made the same mistake you did in the past. Toast with jelly should help erase the Hater Blues!
Remember, you can always get a dose of the negative spin by going to the Princess Boards. I haven’t even been there in a while. I should go back. I am sure they are having fun with the wild conspiracy theories!
Gag. They are concerned about Mady and Cara? I am so sure. Are they equally concerned about Pam Anderson’s boys and the “show” she is putting on? Yeah, didn’t think so.
I didn’t see this posted upthread. It’s an Entertainment Weekly article with Kate. I think it is very fair. Kate as usual is very candid. There is a minimum of “poor me” or mentions of the children (which I know grates on some). It actually showcases well why those of who *do like* Kate like her!
http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2010/03/31/kate-gosselin-on-her-fight-with-tony-dovoloni-that-was-fear-driven/
For people who claim to hate Kate, they sure give her a lot of credit. It would take some skill to pretend to dance that badly, then gradually get better. I don’t think she’s that talented, but I know they think she has special powers.
Mady and Cara are at that age where everything their parents do can embarrass them. They might have other kids teasing them about the show, but I bet there are more kids who think it’s really cool. I just hope they get to go to the show, if they want to (which I would think they would).
EW Did you watch last night’s show? Your argument?
Dovoloni No, I will not ever watch that. It’s one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. I called my dad today and I apologized to him.
Gosselin And me, on the other hand, reality TV mama, I’m like, `hey they caught it, they used it, I get all that.’
I think these direct quotes put the whole aegument thing into perspective. And it’s obvious in the second video that Kate and Tony are doing fine.
VOTE often VOTE Kate
I couldn’t bring myself to vote for Kate. Had she improved, I might have sent some votes her way, but I figured she had enough fan support. I voted for Niecy . Niecy makes me laugh, and she really is doing a good job. Unless Nicole takes a fall, I don’t see how she doesn’t win it all. I did feel bad for Kate during the results. She looked so stressed. I hope she enjoys next week, now that she wasn’t the first one eliminated.
Wendy,
I like Niecy too and I am glad you voted for her. I think you have to vote for who you really think did the best job or who you are a fan of. Pam Anderson is growing on me and I really like Erin. Nicole is amazing and so beautiful but she has such an advantage over most of the rest.
I just watched last night’s episode this afternoon and I honestly did not think Kate looked as bad as everyone said she does. I paid attention to all of the contestant’s faces, especially the women, and even Nicole had a certain look of stress on her face on some of the shots. I think they were all a little nervous about it.
I did feel bad for Shannen and have respect for the way she handled elimination.
Just watched the Tony/Kate interview. Tony didn’t like being called tuff and Kate tried to explain why he was tough…. kindly. Hummmm, then he walked out. Like I said, Kate is Kate, nothing more, nothing less. Tony, sensitive maybe? I’m sure he his a great teacher but Kate is right, the pressure is on for both. I hope they can work it out. I’m sure her stress level and easy frustration isn’t helping. I hope she finds a comfortable place before it’s over.
Pam,
I like Pam Anderson, too. I didn’t think she deserved to be at the bottom. And I do feel bad for Kate. If she smiles to much, people say she looks crazy. If she doesn’t smile, she looks upset. I guess I am guilty as the next ,to read too much into (what is likely) benign expressions :).
Kat,
I think you may be right. Tony seems nice, but he might be a little bit of a temperamental artist. I didn’t think Kate was being difficult from the footage they showed. Tony admitted that dancing doesn’t come naturally to Kate. What seems like simple instruction to him, might seem like a foreign language to Kate ( it would to me!).
Anya, I like that article. I’m impressed Tony called his father to apologize. How old are his children, isn’t he a new dad of twins? Maybe the stress of it all got to him too, but I never think too much of the demanding, dramatic artist types, they’re just who they are.
I liked Pam too. I’m glad she’s still around. I’m wondering if some of the demographic thought she was too sexy. I thought her first dance was fantastic and she was good the second time too.
This is a cute pic of Tony and Kate in Reading today.
I wonder if Jon will be back soon. He’s not doing anything else, he should jump at the opportunity for the extra time w/his children.
Lily, cute photo. Smiles. We like to see smiles! Both Tony and Kate have beautiful smiles. Glad they could showcase them.
I believe there was a picture of Jon over the weekend and on Monday in PA so I believe the kids have seen him. I wonder where he is living now that he and his girlfriend have parted? Maybe at his mom’s?
I hope Kate and the kids have a chance to have some sort of Easter celebration (perhaps early) before she returns to California. Maybe Jon will be around too. It would be great if they could make it work for the kids. None of my business, but I can still be hopeful.
Lily, I didn’t doublecheck my information, but I believe Tony has a daughter that is 4-ish and twins (boy and girl) that are around 18 months old. He has been great about praising his wife for all she does when he is away from home performing on the show.
He is a really good guy, in my opinion. Even though I think Kate took more than her fair share of blame from factions on the internet for their blow-up, I totally understand why he got frustrated and lost his cool. He was a gentleman and apologized. It’s probably healthier for both of them in the long run that he let it out and they can move on.
Hopefully, Gosselin bloggers can move on too! 🙂
Sorry, keep finding new things to comment on.
Pam, I agree with you on most points.
On Tuesday’s night’s show, Kate was not the only one looking glum. I noticed Nicole too. Maybe she looks “cuter” being glum – or maybe some people just want to find fault? Kate smiled and clapped numerous times – as others made it through – throughout the show.
I like Niecy too. (Sorry, Theresa – I know you aren’t a fan). Honestly, I would be happy with a Kate-Niecy-Erin finish with Erin winning. I know, I know – it’s not going to happen. All three – yes, Kate, especially, would need to improve a lot.
The fun of this is you can have favorites and they don’t have to be the best dancers.
I was rooting for Steve Wozniak a couple seasons back and he might have been the worst dancer ever on DWTS. He lasted four weeks because I wasn’t the only one who found him charming.
Hopefully, we can put an end to the conspiracy theories about Kate surviving this week. Fan favorites (who aren’t good dancers) have lasted many weeks into competition before and will again — on fan support.
Interesting article ..
http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/entertainment/television/040110-producer-says-kate-gosselin-biggest-star-on-dwts
A producer for “Dancing With The Stars” says Kate Gosselin is the top star on the show, a remark that may not sit well with the rest of the cast.
ABC has clearly marketed this year’s show around a high-profile cast, and made Gosselin the centerpiece of the show.
That was before America found out that Gosselin can’t dance.
Deena Katz, the senior producer who books talent for the show, told the New York Post that dancer Tony Dovolani shouldn’t complain about Gosselin.
“Kate Gosselin probably is the biggest name on this cast, so it depends how you look at it,” Katz said. “We gave Tony the biggest buzz. Tony’s on the cover of People Magazine, so it depends on how you look at it.”
There have been reports that Shannen Doherty, Pamela Anderson and much of the show crew are at odds with Gosselin.
E! Online also spoke with “Dancing” executive producer Conrad Green about Internet claims that this week’s show was “rigged” so Gosselin would not be voted off.
“I can assure you absolutely there’s no rigging of these votes ,” Green told E!, saying three independent accounting firms audit the results. “I couldn’t do anything about them if I wanted to.”
The show combines the judges’ scores with fan votes to pick the lowest performing star each week.
Green said that in early shows with a lot of contestants, a few votes make a big difference.
“The margins can be really small—it can just be a few hundred votes,” Green said.
Ratings have been huge for the show with much of the credit going to Gosselin’s presence.
The hype should get even higher for next week after Gosselin said she would dress us Dovolani like ex-husband Jon Gosselin for the difficult paso doble dance next Monday.
Gosselin finished just ahead of Buzz Aldrin in the judges’ scoring but managed to get enough fan votes to survive.
That is a cute picture in post 135, thanks for the link. For those on Facebook, you can see Tony Dovolani’s wall even without adding him as a friend, and he has shared some family photos if you page down through the posts. Very cute wife and kids. There are also a couple of posts where he (or whoever…I assume it’s really him) asks people not to bash Kate on his page. There has been bashing in the comments.
They may not be able to rig the votes, but they can use the negative reports in the media to get people to watch, and keep her on, expecting big drama from her. Which I don’t really like, but I guess is how these things work. If it doesn’t bother her, I guess it shouldn’t bother me.
I loved this comment, following the above article on myfoxphilly-
“Gosselin NEVER said that Tony would dress as Jon. She said that they were channeling the past two years of her life. Tony will probably either act as a chubby, disturbed woman who lives on the internet looking for places to hate on Kate, or a paparazzi.”
Did they say Tony would play Jon? I keep reading that, and complaints about it, but haven’t seen anything officially saying he would.
So if a few hundred votes can make the difference the all it would take is three people voting 44 times to skew the votes and throw a good dancer off, to keep Kate on – either because they like her, or want to watch her be humiliated… god, these reality shows are TOUGH! How much can you take… I didn’t watch the show but saw a few seconds of the dance on you tube and cringed for her. It is a lot of work for those kind of results… I have a kid the twins’ age and I don’t think they will necessarily be “thrilled” to see her on tv gtting blasted but here’s hoping they are thick skinned by this point.
I am surprised she went for this opportunity because she cannot dance and did not ever really dance at her own wedding – I think she has some issues around being seen to be not a good dancer; given that, it takes guts to get out there and try in front of so many people who are going to be judging you. While I can do the electric slide I sure can’t do the Paso Doble and would think that would be a challenge for even a good dancer.
I hope they don’t drag her kids in there for ratings and then have her be humiliated. augh!
