Do you love the smell of cinnamon? Crafting with cinnamon sticks can be a lot of fun, and create something that not only looks great but smells great too. Take a look below at how we crafted a cinnamon stick votive holder, perfect for adding to your holiday home décor. Making your own cinnamon stick votive holder is easy, so keep reading to see how you can get started!

Cinnamon Votive 1

Supplies needed:
Round, glass votive
15-20 cinnamon sticks
Hot glue, glue gun
Decorative ribbon of choice
Scissors

We found everything we used for this project at our local dollar store. Dollar Tree specifically has generously sized bags of cinnamon sticks for just $1.

Directions:
1. Begin by applying a generous amount of hot glue at the bottom of the votive holder. A dab about ½ an inch from the base works well.
2. Immediately press a cinnamon stick to the glue. Hold it in place until it is secure.
3. Repeat the process, going all of the way around the glass votive holder. Be sure you are placing the sticks as close to each other as possible.
4. Once all of your cinnamon sticks are in place, cut a length of ribbon to wrap around the votive holder. Wrap the ribbon around and tie it in a bow. Tie tightly. You will see how important the ribbon is, as it helps hold the sticks in place and flush to the glass votive.

Cinnamon Votive

Now all you need to do is add your battery operated or real votive to the glass candle holder. The heat from the live votive will really bring out the smell of the cinnamon. Even if you use a battery operated votive, cinnamon sticks are still fragrant when just displayed as is.

Gather your supplies and give this cinnamon stick votive holder a try. It makes the perfect holiday décor piece!

Cinnamon Votive

This votive can also be decorated with a variety of color of ribbon and brighten up your home as well as give out a delightful fragrance all winter long!
