We’ve partnered with Best Buy to share this awesome information!
Are you like me in that you have a particular time of year in which you have a disproportionate number of birthdays to celebrate? Between June and September I have no fewer than half a dozen birthdays of relatives and close friends (not to mention my own on August 23th!). Several of the people on my list are of the young-person variety, and they can be difficult to shop for. Clothes are hard – I’m pretty sure that the very fact that I have picked something out makes it uncool by default. Video games are usually a good bet, but which ones do they already have and which ones do they want? It turns out, Best Buy can help with that.
I, for one, am a big fan of online wish lists. The make shopping easy and they mean that you never end up getting the wrong thing. Best Buy has a cool wish list feature that you can find here.
It’s super-easy to create a wish list in just minutes. I definitely plan to tell some of the people on my birthday shopping list about this feature – and create one for myself! Hey, if I don’t let anyone *know* that I want a 60-inch flat screen television, who’s going know to buy it for me? 🙂
Of course, there are those people for whom you don’t have a wish list available. For them, Best Buy also has this nifty feature: www.bestbuy.com/gifts .
The link takes you to their Gift Center, which has gift ideas organized by occasion, by price, by gender and by age. What could be easier? I *love* websites that allow me to zero in on a price range when looking for items; it makes the process much easier and keeps me from seeing presents that would be great but are about five times my budget. Some people are harder to shop for than others, and a curated collection of possibilities really makes the process as hassle-free as possible.
The page also has links for “featured gifts” and “trending gifts” – it’s great to be able to see what other people are clicking on and buying! Browsing those pages can really inspire some out-of-the-box thinking and ideas for unique and thoughtful gifts.
Finally, for the techie enthusiast in your life, the gift page includes a link for “top tech gifts”. The lowest priced item currently on that list? A selfie stick. (I am not buying anyone a selfie stick but hey, you do you.) I was just looking through the $50-$99 range and there were a couple of items I have and love (a FitBit and a Roku) and a couple of items I really want (an iPhone external battery case and a photo printer). And I’m not even that much of a techie!
When in doubt, you can never go wrong with a gift card! Best Buy offers gift cards that can be mailed to you (or the person of your choice!) as well E-Gift cards that can be sent instantly via email – perfect for those last minute gift giving emergencies.
