Back-to-school is definitely here! You have either already started back or like many, will be returning the day after Labor Day. This time of year can be a hard transition; going from all the freedom and excitement that summer offers you to a structured day of sometimes very mundane activities.
However, we all know that school/education sets the foundation for the rest of your child’s life and we want them (and you) to have a little motivation to take you into the 2014/2015 school year so we are sharing some inspirational and some funny quotes that we found.

Imperfect Women would like to wish everyone a wonderful start to the new academic year and we hope everyone has a fantastic 2014/2015 school year!
LOL at the old gum one, but seriously – that is true. I have mixed feelings about my boys going back this week. On one hand I miss them, but on the other, I am happy we are back in a routine.
I love the idea of thinking of a school education quote the one that used to be in our school halls is honors per menstrum I probably missed spelled it but it’s seize the day. Another was If you shoot for the moon and miss your still amongst the stars.
LOL at the 90 watermelons question. I hate solving puzzles like that.
I don’t have any quotes off the top of my head but love love the Respect your parents they survived school without Google! So true.. how did we do it? Thank goodness for it now, though. I often seek Google while helping my girls.
First day of school was today for the little man! It was…interesting lol
I was guilty of putting the date from the previous day on my homework heheh
Hahahaha! I have to say that Edgar W. Howe had it right! & I totally go to the store all the time to buy 90 watermelons, don’t you? 😉
Great quotes! The gum one I know all too well haha. So gross, I’ll never forget!
I was laughing so hard on the Olympian lol
Great quotes to share and uplift teachers. Thanks
These are great quotes, and I loved the funny ones also. I remember the gum under the desk well. ha
Great quotes, I love them!
Those are great quotes. I do like that Weird Al video as well!
That last one about the gum to funny and yes only in math is it ever acceptable to buy 90 watermelons.
I love all these quotes. Some of the just for fun ones really made me laugh!
The watermelon joke is a good one! Hooray for back to school!
We have one that we use at school quite often. It’s not a quote but it’s funny. “The next person who says, “You’re a teacher? You just play all day!” will be locked into my classroom and the children will be given cupcakes.” 😀
Those are wonderful quotes. I like the one about education turning mirrors into windows.
Is Sharenting Harming Our Kids? | Helene Cohen Bludman
I really like that Oprah Winfrey quote. I kinda miss being in school, haha 😛
These are great! I’ll bet teachers would love! And the gum under the desk…oh, the gum! I always hated that!!!
Some great quotes! I can still remember what it felt like going back to school after the holidays – sometimes I miss those days.
Love these quotes! I always told my kids I wouldn’t do projects for them since I already passed that grade. They didn’t appreciate my humor….
I may still be guilty of pre-dating homework papers, ahhaaha
And yep, on the PE class. There’s me (the last one picked unless a friend was caption) and there’s the Olympian wanna be. 🙂
Loved this, especially the Helen Keller quote. I truly believe this to be true.
Really inspiring, some quotes are funny too.
