1. A period of time in which an adult pretends that he/she is a child again, has no responsibilities to tend to, spends money like the world is ending, and relaxes. And gains a lot of weight.

Vacations…we work hard all year and save our money in anticipation of them, invest our time planning them, and spend countless hours talking about how much fun we will have while on one.  For many Americans, the time between each vacation increases each year which makes that vacation even more valuable. Because we know how important your vacation is and how much time and effort you invested in making it happen, we are pleased to share travel information sponsored by Allianz Travel Insurance through the Bloggy Moms Network.

One of the most important things we believe you can do to protect your vacation investment, is to research Allianz Travel Insurance and discover the tools they offer to protect not only your dream vacation but your sanity. Allianz Travel Insurance provides you with the financial protection and 24/7 travel assistance you need. They offer plans that will refund your pre-paid deposits if you have an unexpected emergency and have to cancel your trip for a reason covered by their policy.

Each year since 2009, Allianz Travel Insurance has conducted its Vacation Confidence Index Survey. This year’s survey found that more Americans will travel, but plan to spend less on their trips in 2015. This year’s survey suggests that consumers are eager to save money on their summer travel and will be looking for trips that offer the best possible value, as well as opportunities to utilize the sharing economy to save money.

My husband and I have traveled over the past years from Alaska, through the Mid-West, to an awesome two-week trek through the New England states. We have been very fortunate that things went smoothly for us and no plans had to be canceled. Next year we are planning our first major overseas trip and we are so looking forward to it. We haven’t quite nailed down all the details but we are looking at traveling to Europe and visiting several different countries. We are both in our 60’s now and although we are in fairly good health, we know that “stuff” happens. I also have parents that are in their late 80s and early 90s that we help care for and they have had frequent health issues that could necessitate a change in plans too . I know that we will be able to plan this trip with the knowledge that Allianz Travel Insurance will have our back and have the right insurance plan for us to protect our vacation that we both deserve.

Check out this video below where Linda and Stuart share their story on how Allianz Travel Insurance assisted them on their vacation:

Allianz Travel Insurance is not new to this game. They assist over 250 million people a year and have 60 plus years of assistance experience. They provide real-time support for travelers and provide a peace of mind from the moment travelers leave their home to begin the trip, to the moment they return home. They are a traveler’s best advocate.

Do you have any vacation plans in the near future that deserve protection?

I’ve also never purchased travel insurance, but one time I wish I had. Had a family member pass days before a cruise and the cruise line wasn’t sympathetic at all…

We always buy travel insurance. We wound up using it on our past two vacations, too.

This is good to know. I travel a lot but rarely buy travel insurance. Will have to look into this for our next trip.

I’d definitely feel safer with insurance when traveling long distances. That extra security is really nice.

We don’t travel enough to even think about travel insurance but if we did I would for sure go for it because you can’t ever be too safe!

You never know what can happen when you on vacation and things can get pricy. A travel insurance is a great idea, especially when travelling with kids.

Travel insurance is always included in our plan. It takes away the worry and we can enjoy our vacation better. I highly recommend this for anyone who is planning a vacation.

I think getting insurance when traveling is worth it. Its like every other insurance just in case (stuff happens) we don’t want to go somewhere and have something happens to our bag and we be stuck like in the movie meet the parents.

I have never purchased travel insurance before. I think, however, if we were to plan a trip overseas or a cruise, I should consider it. Most require a lot of money upfront that I would hate to lose.

I can see how travel insurance can be beneficial. I’ve never actually purchased it but I may next time I travel. My husband and I want to buy an RV next year and this is something we’ve talked about.
