Hollywood Life is reporting that Kate Gosselin is about to be asked back for the Dancing With the Stars All Stars Edition. The online tabloid is reporting that Kate was a “nightmare” the first time she appeared on the show but the producers are still planning on asking Kate back. Going back in the Twitter time machine, Brook Burk tweeted that reports of Kate being disliked on the show were completely false.
Back in 2010 when Kate first appeared on the show DTWS, she was in the middle of a very tumultuous time in her life. Production on the show Jon and Kate Plus 8 was halted because of Jon’s contract posturing with the TLC network and, presumably, so was her paycheck. Her divorce from Jon was fresh and so was the acrimony between the two. It was widely reported at the time Jon was filing for more custody of the kids because of her grueling schedule on the show. Some speculated it was more about Jon trying to throw a wrench in Kate’s appearance on the show, than anything else. Yet with all the drama behind the scenes, Kate was still able to make it to week 5 before being voted off.
DWTS has been a hit on ABC for 14 seasons and this fall’s premier of an All Stars Edition would be a first for for the popular show. While the producers have not officially announced the cast, the Internet is ripe with speculation.

I just commented on the other thread…I’ll vote for her, early and often. I do not care how well or poorly she dances. I appreciate her willingness to chase that fat paycheck so she and her children can keep living their above-mediocre life.
She is a hot mess on the dance floor. I would be too, not a graceful bone in my body. I admire her courage. I would be curious to see if another dancer/teacher could loosen her up a bit.
I hope it happens for the sheer fun of watching her detractors’ heads explode.
I have really enjoyed this season. The dancing has been so good. I thought when it was all-stars, that it would be the best dancers from previous seasons. Maybe, they just want people that will get viewers. I have to admit that watching her “dance” made me cringe. But, if they have her back, I wish her well.
I always thought the timing was completely wrong for her the first time around but I thought she must have done it for the cash. She would have been a fool to turn down that kind of money – when the future of the show was so uncertain. It would be nice to see a more relaxed Kate have a do over! I’d watch again..and I haven’t watched DWTS before or since.
I hope Kate is invited, and hopefully this time, Jon will encourage her to do it with no tricks up his sleeve. This might be a good time for Kate to go solo also, learn that she can travel alone.
There is protection on the set. I haven’t watched much of DWTS, but would watch Kate.
When she was on, it was the only time I have watched. If she wants to be on again, all the luck to her and I will be watching and voting again!
I hope it’s true. Great money for Kate to help keep the kids in the home and school they love. Also, it would piss her haters off to no end! I LOL just thinking about them behind their computers typing their fingers to the bone, foaming at the mouth cuz Kate is on their TV.
I hope that Kate will return and do great. However, I have a feeling that they want her back for the controversy that she will cause, and the extra viewers she will bring. I would not put in past DWTS to put in her contract for her not to be nice. If they will guarantee her 500,000. like I think they did last time, I can live with that.
I want this rumor to be true ~ Even if she doesn’t improve her dance skills at least she will be bringing home some bacon.

Awww, what a nice tweet from Brooke Burke. I hope Kate is going to be on. She had one dance that was fairly decent. I’d like to see how she does now that she’s had a taste of what it entails and while not getting slammed by a surprise custody battle.
Lol, I’m not expecting that much of a miraculous change. It’s a nice opportunity for her to get a do-over when it was such a stressful time for her before.

The first time I ever watched DWTS was when Kate was on. I was so embarrassed for her each week and felt so sorry for her. With everything she was going through and to have the ridicule of “dancing” on top of that…. Oh boy, I wanted to cry. BUT,as always, Kate endured, and was (and still) able to laugh at herself.
Now that Kate has all the drama behind her, maybe she can “feel the groove” and get those hips a moving.

I also hopes she gets an offer to be on DWTS. The timing was bad with Jon acting like the fool he was…Kate is in a much better place today.
Rythem and talent she doesn’t have but the will, guts, determination and facing her fears she has!! Also I want her on it to watch the hater fools explode with their hatred, eny, jealously, and just plain ol nastiness!

I know that dancers talk about practicing 6-8 hours a day. I can’t imagine that Kate had that kind of time available. If you add to that Jon suing for custody because she was away too much – well not the best set up for success. That has to have been the most frustrating part for her partner. I’m sure those pros are in it to look good and win.
I think one of the things that she really had going against her was that unlike the sports, entertainment folks she is very inexperienced with performing for a camera. No I don’t think the tv show helped. If reality tv made someone a performer we would have missed that very painful Kim K reading from cue cards thing she did.
Another point is that my sources on the set did not see what the inside source was reporting. They did say everyone was trying to figure out who was saying those things. Then in a following season Wendy Williams was the target of the Perez Hilton inside source lies. In the weeks that followed Wendy noted on her tv show that the reports were a fabrication and that her Hot Topic’s team had found the source and they weren’t inside anymore. That’s right they were fired. So if Kate goes back it will be interesting.
I hope she’s on for all the reason listed above. I hope Jon cooperates this time and I HOPE she has better input into her costumes, because last time it seemed like they went out of our their way to give her the ugliest costumes they could find!

I’m sure there are a lot of past contestants who would love the opportunity. I hope she gets it. For the nice paycheck, if nothing else. I don’t think she will ever be a great dancer, but I’m sure there are many things that can change to make it a more enjoyable and successful go around. Jon being supportive would be a huge bonus. It starts with Kate though. She has to be more willing to “let go.” Anyway, I’m sure we will be talking about this and until the final cast list is released. Go Kate!
I also sooo hope this is true. I enjoyed every minute of her undancing while earning a big fat this will feed my kids paycheck.
If I wanted to see people who could dance, I’d watch all the other seasons, which I never have!
I hope this is a more relaxed experience for her. The public needs to see fun Kate-IN BETTER COSTUMES!

I’ll admit that I found Kate painful to watch at times, if only because I wanted her to do well. Still, I’d love her to be on All-stars, if only to collect the $$$, and in the faint hope that she’ll have gotten better. I counted on Kate’s determination the first time, but she did have so much going on in her life then. If things are more settled, hopefully she would do a lot better.
i think the worst for kate on DWT was her partner, tony. i had not watched before and have NO dancing talent whatsoever but the thing with kate and tony in their 1st dance which sticks with me: kate was gorgeous in pink, their dance was a waltz and one of the first move tony had her do was stand on one foot and lift her leg!!he could have choreographed a dip or bend or slide which would have been graceful for a novice. but i challenge anybody to be graceful when balancing and lifting. in future shows and year i’ve critiqued tony and he’s often a show off. hope she makes it and wows everybody though the reporting would still be negative w/reporters? stretching to create dis cord.
If Kate is asked to be on All Stars I’m sure she would do better. She is in a completely different place in her life now. She really was faced with a lot of distractions last time – divorce, Jon, custody issues and I believe she was flying back and forth every week. I admire Kate’s determination to do what it takes to provide for her family.
the costumes and make-up were hideous on that Paparazzi dance. I have also noticed that since that season there are a few other stars that the makeup is horrible, makes the stars look like a tart! Kate’s last dance was the best, and costume and makeup was good. I think the whole package is critiqued and maybe just maybe if Kate gets on she will be in a better place spiritually, and we all know she is ready physically! Jon did a number on her with the whole custody thing and I hope it haunts him forever.
I am glad the two of them are at a better place right now, it is the best for the kids to show that the parents can be civil towards each other. But I still think it’s a very bad bad idea to be introducing the kids to the latest gf! so soon!
If Kate does return to DWTS, she will still have some major handicaps. She would still need to have a live in sitter, or two. She could probably get her sister again. That will be major bucks to pay. I am sure that Jon would not take them home and keep them during the week even if Kate were to forgo the child support. He does not want to spend that much time with them, or that often, IMO. She would have to commute often, probably weekly. I am sure DWTS would pay for that. It is a big expense for Kate to do any engagements, much less one this long. It is not easy or cheap to find live in care with a driver’s license. Having to commute every week would mean that she cannot go out and socialize with the cast. However, Kate has never been a “party” person, but this could be conceived by others that she does not want to socialize with them, which I do not think is true. However, if she is asked, and she agrees to be on again, I will support her 100%.
I hope she gets on, and does well. I always thought that Tony was part of the problem, he seems way over the top, and has such gaudy outdated choreography, and not just with Kate, he always complains he gets stuck with “dud” celebs…um, think it might be you Tony?
Kate has a new post w/pics of tups birthday party. Mady & Cara planned and hosted a Lego/Tea party event. What great big sisters.
